Madden NFL 10 Video: Online Franchise Superbowl - Cowboys vs. Titans

So... pretty sure this thread is for comments on the online superbowl that Ian and Greg just played not for Philly and Pats fans to duke it out. Anyway the reason Ian lost is because he went up against the Cowboys! How bout' them Cowboys! Seriously though I know it was a short vid of selected plays(mostly offensive) and highlights but it got me excited. Oh and way earlier in the thread somone complained about 2 immobile QBs getting outside the pocket. Romo immobile?! Ya right. He's one of the most mobile QBs in the league. I'm sure blocking could still use some improvements but it looks like the protak and "steering" has made the O-line much better. Now just do away with pancake blocks as the only stat to improve your Oline and we'll see what happens.

It looked like the DBs weren't making anymore of the insane swats on alot of those plays, particularly those deep out to Roy Williams. In previous games it seemed like the passing game was restricted to seams by the TE, in and slants by the WRs, and slot receivers leading the game in receptions.

That feature along with APF 2K8's vastly superior user DL control turned me away from Madden. I'm cautiously optimistic about this game. It's almost too wierd to be playing a Madden game with a functional franchise mode and semirealistic football on the field.

Very true.

THe out route by the outside receiver was simply off limits. Pick 6 every time because DB's warped and saw through the back of their heads.

Hopefully more passes are able to be completed this year. And no anti-money passes.

No duking here..Im just playin defense...but the video was decent to me...I seemed to be more excited about the superbowl post game than the actual game itself....I know he said it was an old build...but seeing that I didnt know that at first..I was definately expecting a smoother game which was kind of a let down for me...As someone who hasnt played madden 09 in a good while...I wouldv'e thought that was it if it didnt say "Madden nfl 10 video"...but it was still decent nonetheless.
