For the first time in about ten years I won't be buying this game. It's going to be my small protest about the poor quality control and lack of emphasis on improving the core gameplay. I know it probably won't mean much in the grand scheme of things, but I'll feel better knowing that I won't be granting my $60 seal of approval to the direction this series has taken.

Re: Should NCAA Football 10 Get Your Business? (Who Needs Rules)

People are finally starting to get it. Around 2003-2004 I would get so excited for this game. I would be anxious for it to drop a few months in advance. This year, I didn't find out the release date until a few days ago. That should tell you something in itself.

I didn't even download the demo until just recently. Normally I would have downloaded it the second it came out.

People are finally realizing what I realized a few years ago. NCAA is nothing more than a few new animations and a roster update. Along the way that add and subtract features to make the game feel a bit different. What do we get this year? Endzone art in bowl games. That was something that was in the game in 2004. It's a pathetic that it has take this long to get these things in on the Xbox 360/PS3 when the original xbox had these features 6 years ago.

I understand that a video game is never going to be ultra realistic but I don't want to keep spending money every year on virtually the same product.

What am I paying $60 for? Is it end zone art and roster updates?

Started another '09 OD.

I can wait for Madden. Which is strange seeing as the last 5-6 years I have always gotten NCAA and passed on Madden.

Spread the word to my OD buds as well.

I work all week and like to enjoy my sports games and will not tell myself that ea or any other company has to give me real life football in a 60 dollar disc.

The game is far from perfect but then again no game is perfect.

The game comes out yearly

Yet people expect changes that require 3 year periods like other games have

On a year to year basis the game will only improve a bit. That is the way it works

I prefer it that way because I need my football games every year.
This post is a prime example of why EA continues to put out crap year after year. The bottom line is this, OS only represents a small percentage of the NCAA football community, most people just want to play a game, have fun and escape their lives for a couple of hours. EA knows this and unfortunatley nothing will change until we can all come together collectively and stop buying their crap, but thats just not going to happen and EA know this. The head honchos at EA care about one thing, SALES (which translates into MONEY) and as long as the majority of the NCAA football gaming society continues to fall for their BS advertising year after year, nothing will change.

Me personally, I'm done buying NCAA Football until things change, but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

With NCAA you will. Just don't trade in your PS2, it has better games than the PS3. The PS3 is great is you wanna play Blue Rays though. I have the PS3, Wii, and 360. The PS3 has become my blue ray player and hasn't had a game in it for a year.. I don't touch the Wii because it just doesn't appeal to me. Kids play it all the time. The 360 gets used by everyone for games. I wish I had my PS2 rather than the PS3. NCAA and Madden are both better on that console and the PS2 still has a bunch of great games.

Third person for me. With the extra time I discovered Uncharted (loved it) and started a lot more non sports gaming.

Huskerfan, it depends on what you look for in a game. Me personally, I prefer the superior gameplay, presentation and features of last gen. Pretty much the only thing that next gen does better so far is the graphics.

Do not sell your ps2! I did and I regretted it. I just recently bought another one used. I love my ps3 though by the way.
