I guarantee you that they are aware of 99 percent of the problems that we see and are dying to fix them. There just isn't enough time in the dev cycle to fix all of it. Once you get to a certain amount of time before the release of any software package, you can not afford to alter too much code. If you do, it could break other code that could potentially render the entire game unplayable. If you're a software company, it's better to have a somewhat broken product than a completely broken product. That's just the way software development goes. If there was a longer development cycle, far fewer issues would make it into the final build. Unfortunately, EA execs(not the dev team) want a football game out every year, no matter how broken, so a longer dev cycle is never going to happen.

I think a lot of people are frustrated because this was supposed to be a transition year for NCAA. You know, the one where they don't add very many new features but polish and solidify the gameplay. This includes tweaks to weaker areas of the game.

We got the few features part, but unfortunetly the gameplay work isn't there. Next year I'm going want dramatic gameplay improvements, but I'm also going to need some significant additions to (Online) Dynasty. The team essentially ran in place/took baby steps with 10 and put themselves in a hole for 11.

This is one of the few posts in this thread that is logical.

Everbody just needs to settle down. Russell said that they'll fix things.

I'd like to know why everyone is so worked up. Either buy the game or stop griping and don't buy it.

I like good games too, but still Football is Football.

I wish that these things wouldn't have to be patched, but at least they're coming.

For those of you griping, wait and buy the game when the patch comes out. Problem solved.

Russss sry to to say this but what happened this year is in excusable you have a year to do all this . with more and more of your fan base leaving like eligible college players for the draft aka madden. im sry but this is the second year in a row somethin dumb like this has happened. im not bashin but you need to get your ish together man.

ok now back to my normal self i had to rant really quick

Ok, I would really like to see a transition year next year. I will still buy this game, because it doesnt take too much to make me happy considering how much I love CFB. Next year, I dont want to see things like SS, I'd rather see legit work on gameplay and atmosphere of the game, not just camera flashes and windsocks.

Russ himself said they tuned the sliders this year. How are we to believe that when they were clearly broken? I'd love to know how the design team tested the results of this slider tuning given the fact the beta showed they were useless (and especially after all the complaints and problems with '09). If the main game has that many big issues, how many smaller issues will be found when the game is launched? What's even worse is that a handful of short videos exposed major problems with the game that the design team failed to see. I'm not buying this year and I see little hope right now for next year.

I completely endorse this post. Last year Russ said they hadn't touched sliders for years and weren't even sure what they did any more.

Now 2010 launches with broken sliders. I would find it very hard to believe that they even looked at the sliders this year and even if they say they will "fix" them, I highly doubt that enough time and energy will be committed to actually make them do what they are supposed to do. If they hadn't touched them in years how will they rush to fix them in a day or a week.

Buyer Beware. Thats all I'm going to say. You know the game has some problems already, I am confident more will surface once gamers start putting some significant time into it.
