Add me to the list of unimpressed. Aside from all the obvious issues with rosters, broken sliders, no pass rush my main frustration is Heisman level is just as irritating as last year. FB still doesnt block effectively on a simple Iso play. Anything with linemen pulling gets stuffed in the backfield because the pulling linemen runs upfield to seek out a safety to block instead of someone on the playside. Ive seen linemen on screen plays just leave me butt *** naked right after i catch the ball to go block god knows who. I mean this is silly stuff that has been going on for way too long with this game

Wow. I must say, I was very put off by the videos we have seen, but the demo may have changed my mind about NCAA 10.

Impressions:

I love the new gameplanning elements. At first I thought you just set a global "aggressive" or "conservative" switch, but now I see it's much deeper than that. It gives us a little risk-reward system to tinker with, and if you're behind and make adjustments to catch up, you really feel like you "coached" your way back into the lead.

We can mix and match uniform combinations! This was something completely unexpected for me. It seems like one of those things we'd always ask for and never get, but it's in!

Player lock, for me, is a dream come true. I always got somewhat bored on defense, because my natural inclination is to play cornerback, which you can't do very well with the default camera. But player lock solves this! Also, there's something about reversing the camera angle that makes it seem completely separate and distinct from offense--that's a good thing.

Passing feels great to me. I like the new over the shoulder catches--it really gives the catching game a more dynamic element.

Running the ball can be maddening. I see some people respond to others by saying "follow your blocks" and "lay off turbo." Those two things are excellent advice, but they don't solve the problem of 1) the cpu tackling the RB just as he gets the ball and 2) your CPU teammates hanging you out to dry on runblocking. The only real times I've had any degree of success is when I've locked onto a TE or a FB and made the blocks myself. Of course, then you're not in control of the RB. That being said, there are sliders that usually fix this issue, so I'm not worried.

CPU QB is extremely accurate vs. me. In my first game, CPU's only incompletes were catches out of bounds and INT's. Again, sliders may mitigate this somewhat.

In short, I was ready to skip NCAA for the first time since '03, but the demo has got me back on the bandwagon.

Oh man oh man am I bummed. I just can't get by how the players move. Herky jerky, stiff, and disproportionate. I just don't get why every new gen football game moves the way they do (except APF). There is no way I can even dig deeper when the surface makes me want to puke. Definitely no college football video game for me this year.

I dont think you understand what he's saying.

If you're controlling a player and a pass get's caught, you're toast. There's nothing you can do on the play, especially if the pass is opposite you. The camera get's so far out that you cant see

I like the feel of the game it feels smooth and slower than last year the adaptive ai is nice too not just for linking plays I pounded it up n the middle a couple of times for two maybe three at the most the I did a toss the fb pick up the olb and it was just me and a safety who tackled me but after I picked up a 20 yard gain he had the angle. This is on heisman by the way, I really felt the pressure when they blitzed I tried to throw it in while in the def grasp and a do picked it off when they blitz it really forces you to dump it off. On def the CPU attempts help to bal the ais gAme even it they aren't getting big gain or any which is the result of a CPU run more times than not. The blitz from the slot cb is too effective at the end of the game I ran it thre times against Florida and got three sack I guess maybe bc they were trying to go down the field adaptive ai on off would have been greatly appreciated another thing that is too efective is press in dime I did this for like a whole game and I think tebow might have complete 4 passes it would have been great to be punished fo BEng so agressive but I guess that is next yr for adaptve ai. Overall I like it especially if the game does something to address those def money tactics. Before I was just gonna play fight night all July now after the demo I'll prolly rent it first and go from there my demo exp was positive overall. Sorry for the roughness my impressions I'm doing this on my iPhone
