Any way you slice it, they get free Market Analysis and get paid by us to Beta Test their product. They have it good because they have a monopoly on NCAA licensed football. Sure we could play a different game, but its not NCAA football. It would be the same as offering a crack addict weed. We need our NCAA crack and there is no substitute.

And I'll say it again, its not about the money, its about my time. I wasted countless hours last year to only come to the conclusion that the sliders were broken. We informed EA of this and what happens this year? Broken sliders.

Would your employer let you get away with this? If it was you refrigerator andyou told them, hey the light never comes on and the freezer is actually melting my frozen items? Would you buy that same brand again?

Of course not, but I bet the crackhead lets it ride if the dealer tells them it will be better next time. And thats why we line up and give them the money anyway. This is a sports website, we are sports addicts, and they have the only game in town.

Do they deserve our money? NO

Wil they get it? Yes and unfortunately they know it.

But eventually everything comes to an end. One more year of this and I would imagine they will have run out of goodwill, at least with the hardcore fanbase.
Great post.

I've been saying no since the 1st details were released. I've been enjoying the demo, but it's damn sure not worth my money.

Gotta say...they won't get mine. I was one who was hyped for team builder, but as cool as that addition is, it's meaningless if the game on the field is not up to par. My experience with 09 was limited (I got bored) but this seems no different (in terms of how it plays out and presentation...I know there are subtleties).

It's not horrible, it's just very bland across the board (IMO). Presentation is stale, gameplay feels stuck in a rut, the commentary (once a strong point) feels unchanged and repetitive. All in all, the demo has me disappointed.

I'll still rent it (Gamepass...so no additional money spent) and try it out with some other teams, but the limited progress coupled with the errors and the spotty attention to their product (or so it seems), makes it a no for me.

Re: Should NCAA Football 10 Get Your Business? (Who Needs Rules)

anyone feel like you don't have good control over the players? not just with suction blocking and tackling but when trying to make cuts or movement adjustments? how about the lack of response when you try to hit stick someone or strip the ball? i am having an impossible time hit sticking someone or going for the rip. is it just me? i feel like you have to press hit stick when you're 5 yards away from the guy to even start the animation. when i want to go for a trip my user controlled player is already sucked into a tackle animation. it feels like the same game as last year...just about 5% slower. maybe it's just me...i'm pretty disappointed in this game and until now, i didn't bash anyone or throw out any harsh criticism well deserved or not.

I agree 1,0000000000000000000000000000% x's 2.

I keep telling people there's no reason this game should not be infinitely better than it was 6 years. Would you buy a new car with less features and stripped down than the 2003 model?

As it stands right now, I'm not buying this game, and that's a shame. My school is in the midst of an amazing 3-4 year run in real life, and I can't enjoy on this game like I USED to be able to.

I expounded upon that point in the demo thread a couple of hours ago. I was pressing buttons and the response time was terrible. Not to mention the slightest movement of the left stick when your in the QB pocket and the QB moves drastically in that direction.

I just felt like the game was controllign my man based moreso on the animation rather than the directions and buttons I pressed
