Re: Official NCAA Football 10 Demo Impressions

Oh, and I won the 2nd game 7-3 due to ball control in the 2nd half. I ran the ball down their throats, ran PA pass to keep 'em honest, and was first and goal with 20secs to play, when I handed the ball to the fullback and let him score!

I'm really feeling this game.

It DOES rotate, just not during instant replays. Apparently every other game developer knows something EA doesn't about making replays look good.

At least the rest of the impressions actually sound fairly positive... we'll see in 45%.

Man you guys asking for Madden in NCAA.... stink. I mean come on, this is NCAA. This is the home of high scoring shootouts.

Just like last year, I fully expect EA to open up the gameplay between now and the final release. This version is too slow, and too Madden 2009 esk.

There is no control for your receivers and essentially no ability to go up for the ball and come down with it in 1 on 1 coverage... something you should be able to expose almost everytime.

It's very, very disappointing that the series has gone backwards vs. 2009. Before that, 2006 was by far the BEST version of the game for PS2.

Does anyone know if the PS2 versions are still wide open? Or did they dummy that down too?

Game used to be about timing and forcing mistakes. Now it's another grind it version of Madden.

Again, hopefully this lackluster speed/gameplay is the demo. I remember last year being disappointed in the same thing in the demo.

I am sure this has been asked, but is it available to Silver accounts or just Gold?

I am really ampped to play after all the positive reviews.

See they put too much effort into this gameplanning option. Sure, it's cool... but they just limit timing and talent now.

I'm from the school when you need a play you make it happen, with your user catch or you make it happen with your feet to buy some extra time. You might as well just sim the game with this toned down gameplay. Your not doing anything....

Let us MAKE A PLAY EA. Don't tone the game down to Madden 2009 which was the WORST football game since next-gen Madden 2006 in the series.

Yea, I'm really feeling the run game this time around. Especially in regards to the CPU. They definitely seem more aware this time around.

I had a little trouble running at first, but (for me atleast) I found that I had to be a little more precise with it ya know? Now that you said something about the gameplan options working, I might just try em. At the moment I dont even touch em, I just keep em balanced. Guess I'll tinker around with em a bit, see what happens.

I hope alot of these cheesey new features are disabled for online play.

Just want to play the game and control one player at a time... not run the freakingg franchise. This isn't NFL Head Coach.

OU was at my goaline, locked on with my Corner, man coverage...Bradford throws a corner route, I jump it pick 6.

This is so much funner than the road to heisman mode because you can lock on with any position during a game as opposed to being limited to only one for a 4 year career.
