Mike Martin is a redshirt freshman?

Your a huge Michigan fan?

Haha, nice try though.
If you look at his stats, yes he barely played. The fact of the matter is he had 20 total tackles and 2 sacks...and he's a 91 overall. That's wrong.

And sorry, I meant he was a RS Freshman last year.

Either way, he did nothing to warrant a 91 overall rating. 20 tackles and 2 sacks is not a 91 overall rating.

LOL. He was?

Look at that list. Those were all freshman last season.

12 games isnt barely playing. 20 tackles and 2 sacks isnt a 91 rating, your right. But it isnt barely playing. If you watched the games, he played alot. He couldnt rack up any stats because the defense couldnt penetrate the o'line, and when they did, Brandon Graham got most of the sacks.

Mike Martin is also a beast and really bulked up this off season, and was getting raves all spring practice. Now we know they rarely mean anything, and a perfect example of this is Stevie Brown. If you wanna talk about a terrible rating job by EA, this is it. LOL! The guy is the worst excuse for a safety ever. He lost his starting job and is going to be a hybrid S/LB this season.

why cant EA just buy a copy of Lindys or Phil Steeles college football preview and just copy and paste the rosters from there...as far as the ratings go...just read what is said about the players on each team...for example...if it says should be the best in conference at this position...they should be rated accordingly in the 90s ...why would that not work...? or i mean just give 120 people that love the game one team apiece to research and come up with the correct rosters..i mean with unlimited control over auburn in teambuilder i could have a 100% accurate roster in less than 6 hours.

Gotta throw in my .02. The argument Mike Martin barely played last season is questionable at best. How many freshmen DTs do you see putting up huge numbers? Obviously not many since someone who "barely played" was named to multiple all-american teams.

Now does he deserve a 91? Hard to say, but at this point I would say no. By the end of the year it might be a different story, but for now it does sound too high.

And yes, I agree Stevie Brown should be listed as a LB.

Go Blue!

That would take time away from season showdown and wouldn't work with EA's new policy for NCAA " If its a gimmick its in the game."

Probably cause it doesn't come out in time?

Ok, no need to get all personal...

I didn't mean "barely played" as in not playing in all games. I meant "barely played" in that he got a small fraction of snaps within each game. Yes, he played in all of them, but he was usually out there for ~20 defensive snaps of 50. Sure, that can be considered more than barely playing, but it's definitely barely playing, IMO, if you're going to give him a 91 rating.

Also, sorry, I got the class wrong. For some reason it feels like Martin has already been around forever, probably because I was following his recruitment because that was my first year working for Scout was when he was a senior, and it already feels like a long time ago.

With that said, it makes it even more ridiculous, IMO, that he's a true sophomore ranked 91 overall. Haha.
