Thanks, that sound cool as Ive always restarted the tourny about 10x haha a pratice round is great!

Also IRL there are 30+ events in the PGA tour right? Im more of a casual golf fan so I dont know much and all of the little details like ball and grass physics really dont bother me much, 09 was a good game IMO I just didnt have time to sit down and play it...

Game is great. Enjoying it much more than last years. Pinehurst is a tough course to start on coming out of the gate. There have been a few holes that I've had to just play up on and hope I made a putt for par. Loving it so far.....by the way, LOL at the "Tiger Mania" celebration. "Whatcha gonna do brotha"!!!!!

I can't say how much I am impressed with this game so far. I just hit a +6 at Spyglass and loved every crappy shot of it.

Disclaimer: Have only played Play now option, no idea about on-line and season mode.

For those with the game:

I can't for the life of me figure out how to tell green speeds while in game.

Is this option gone? Last year when you hit select it showed green speed, rough length, fairway speed etc..

I am playing in these challenges so I did not select these things.

Has the field of playable PGA golfers expanded at all?

Re: Tiger Woods 10 Impressions (PS3/360)

This game is sweet. I read so much negativity before it dropped that I wasn't expecting very much, but I'm really enjoying it. It's an improvement over 09 for sure.

I started off playing the Tiger Challenges. I beat a few of the 1 and 2 point ones, but even those can be kind of difficult. I'd suggest building up your golfer a bit first because you will definitely be in for a bit of frustration. However, I do like that you're actually trying to recreate events that actually happened. In 09 they had too many ridiculous challenges with hurricane force winds.

I played a ranked match against a random online. Everything was basically the same as last year. We played 9 holes and between the both of us we only had 3 of them that were par or better. Our little custom dudes weren't built for that tough pin placement lol.

I decided to start up my career and I just finished up a round at Pinehurt No 2. I birdied the first two holes so I was feeling pretty good early on. That didn't last very long though because the wheels fell off the wagon in no time. I ended up with a round of 6 over par and finished in 30th place. I was pretty happy to see that I didn't win my first time out. In 09, even on Tour Pro, it was pretty easy to win most events.

I'm currently playing on Tour Pro with the putting meter off. I think the putting is great this year. It still feels the same, but not having 1,000 putters in the bag has definitely improved it. So far so good for me.

I'm enjoying this a lot also. The putting meter thing is hard as hell to get used to, but it is a big improvement over the last putting mechanic. I am playing on pro with my create a golfer. Sucking bad at first, but I know I will get better with time. I really like the updates during the tournaments also.
