Now if u get hit with 5 or more uncontested solid punches, u should be well on your way to the mat.
I cant wait to mess with sliders!

Re: Fight Night Round 4 Demo Impressions

I have heard people that Love the controls, like my self and people that absolutely hate them. So, to me, that is near proof that they are on the right track. The worse things in life are the one EVERYONE hates, followed in close second by the things EVERYONE loves... LOL So getting a near split is always the goal.

Sorry to ask this, but can you turn off the HUD on the demo? Thanks.

How can you button mash when punching is only controlled by the analog stick?

Re: Fight Night Round 4 Demo Impressions

Does anyone else feel like there is something missing from the game? I feel like the first few rounds or so, barring a "lucky punch" its just used to wear down the CPU. My jabs and even hooks and uppercuts that land flush (non-haymakers) dont really do anything. I can stand there and hit him with all the regular hooks or uppercuts I want and it does minimal damage.

It's not as bad as previous FN's where you basically just wore them down and once their health was low enough, they went down 2-3 straight times, but it just seems its more about putting the time in than "boxing" them. How many fights have you seen over the years where in the middle rounds, it wasnt about the # of punches, it was about a few great shots (PPacman/Hatton, Jones Jr/Tarver, Tyson/anyone)
