Czar checks in this week with this Platinum Czar Battleground: NBA Live 09 vs. NBA 2K9 video.

Wow, I never really realized how good NBA 2K9's presentation is compared to NBA Live 09.

great comparison Czar, IMO you should have included some of the Live Academy in with the pre-game presentation but I'm sure you have something planned for the Academy from Live in this series.

Yeah figuring out the categories and where to put everything may not be perfect this year but once I go though it all and have time to process it I will refine that more for next year.

Rest assusred though points will be given for academy which was an excellent addition to their series.

Thanks R9NALD9 gameplay has been real interesting !!! Next week I have 2-3 more on presentation and then were right into the gameplay

Good call on the replays Czar.. It hampered some of the excitement for me in the video's I made because i wanted full crowd interaction including the mascots and cheerleaders but they were like still frames as everything else went on..

2k definitely had the presentation domination this year. I think Live 09 showed us that the cut scene is played out in basketball sports games and realtime cuts are where its at.

Oh, 2K9 all day in this category, as well as others. I am still hoping Live can step it up for Live 10 since they recruited one of the guys from 2KSports who worked on the NBA 2K games. Peep this - http://sports.espn.go.com/videogames/news/story?id=3900151

Simply masterful Czar. I shudder to think why you aren't doing what you professionally in some fashion, cuz this right here grade A quality analysis that you are gracing the sim heads with. 2K owned Live in nearly all aspects of nba simulation, as has been the case in recent years. I think these videos will be in an exercise in formality as you eventually crown 2K9 as the GOAT, IMO. I really hope you harp on the 2K online leagues as that is what is keeping the game fresh 7+ months after release, yet is seemingly non existant in Live 09.
