Madden has a loooooooooooooooooooong way to go as far as the "Shows" go (Halftime - Extra Point), but the in game presentation Ian has almost perfected.

With the glaring exception of the play-by-play.

Re: Madden NFL 10 Video: Halftime Report (Chase @ E3)

It seems the online guys get what they want every year, and the offline franchise guys get a few tweaks, and a roster update. I'm exaggerating obviously but I mean how many years do we have to BEG them to give us what we want?

1. The Extra Point Show is nothing more than a glorified box score window with some fluff.

2. The halftime and postgame shows aren't "Shows", they are a few highlights with no commentary, and the little one-liners are out of place, bland and uninteresting.

3. The franchise mode has some tweaks, but you can't trade future draft picks? I guess they don't ever do that in the NFL. *puzzled*

4. Tom Hammond sounds the same as last year, the commentary during the game sounds bland, robotic, and also ..uninteresting. I can't even believe they brought him back, and if it was because of a contract then someone needs to teach Hammond how to talk human-like...with some enthusiasm...something.

Ugh..i'm so angry right now.

It's almost as if EA is just sitting on the ESPN license so no one else can have it.
We all know that's why they have it. They couldn't care less that ESPN's stuff is at their disposal. They just wanted to lock them up. I'm sure the big wigs at ESPN aren't the least bit happy with it. 2K named their games ESPN XXXX and used ESPN stuff everywhere. I'm sure they though EA would do something similar with their license. Not trying to start something here either, don't attack me.

The halfime show was awful. As long as the game plays the way it's supposed to play, I'm satisfied. But I'll be skipping that halftime thing.

Let's call a spade a spade here, they are making great strides, but that just plain sucked.

The highlights they picked to show...huh? A negative run by a QB? A one yard scramble? Huh? Huh?

No music/voice overs at all...awkward and kills the whole mood of a "half time" show.

The replay angles were terrible.

There have been alot of good things shown, but this aspect of the game is terrible and no it's not better than nothing. It makes halftime even more awkward, I'd rather the "top 5" plays thing back from 09...at least those highlights made sense mostly.

And also did anyone catch the guy going "uhhhh awkward" right before halftime when the Broncos player was like frozen in an squat position, I loled.

Another thing is that the online players don't care about halftime shows/reports and commentary, etc because all they do is play other players online.

The gameplay is probably great, along with the jerseys ,colored cleats, hand towels, etc. They are happy because it's in the game, but since they don't play offline franchise mode they don't need to worry about trading future draft picks, halftime and postgame shows.

They skip through all that stuff anyways year after year.

Why EA, just gotta ask why...
