Re: Fight Night Round 4 Demo Impressions

I was just able to try out the PS3 FNR4 demo and i have to admit the TPC controls were more responsive then the 360 version.

The PS3 analog stick is more loose and i was able to throw the punches i wanted at a higher percentage then the 360 version. Is there anyone else that has played both demos and have similar results.

This could be another reason why some are having more trouble then others with TPC

Actually, I kind of like that feature as is. I hear they're going to tone it down in the game.

Hatton was dazed and confused from taking several shots and not once did he take a backwards step. He kept coming at Pacman despite not having his wits about him.
The only time he stopped moving forward is when Pacman knocked him out.

Speaking of the fight thats exactly what i did is watch the fight on youtube to compare it to the game.

Not every fight is going to end in 2 rounds. Also in that short of a fight i still saw a occasions where hattan would side step away after some exchanges. Then other times when pacman was being agressive towards hattan he would back towards the ropes. Regardless of which fighter you choose in the demo its the same thing. In that fight pacman was not always moving forward.

In the FNR4 demo the CPU AI is like magnetically coming towards your area regardless of how the fight is going.

This needs to be fixed.

If this not true maybe we can get someone to confirm this?

Re: Fight Night Round 4 Demo Impressions

Hey fellas! Man this demo is awesome. At first I was underwhelmed, but after playing a few more matches the greatness of the game couldn't be denied.
To truly appreciate this game u really have to look at the replays. The action is just soo fast that u have to see it again in slow motion to see the incredible variety in the action. Best boxing game ever.

The only negatives I could find,
-get up game way too easy.
-footspeed too slow, hard to get away from oponent. There should be a dash if u double tap like in Round 3 that takes away stamina.
-really hoping there are 1 punch knockOUTS.

If the final build fixes the footspeed adds a dash and makes the get up gAme harder. I'd be satisfied for life.

Re: Fight Night Round 4 Demo Impressions

I know this may be fixed in the final version, but punch percentages are too high. However, if if I'm landing 60-70% of my punches and for the most part they are clean blows, the health bar should be depleted at a slightly higher rate. Also, if u land 4-5 unanswered punches in a row, the health depletion should increase with each blow (nothing too drastic though).

Same goes for me getting hit at a 60-70% clip. It would force me to be more defensive instead of constantly going in for the kill.

I do like the fact that when you have a fighter hurt, u can go in for the kill and put them on the mat.

The get-up game definitely is a lot easier from the build we played at the CD. I'm glad because it was brutal before.
