From the community day pics blog:

"In NHL 10 this year, there is a big focus on improved physical play and in real life hockey a big part of that is ensuring hockey players are fit, have great endurance, and are just tough overall."

Hopefully that means better board play!

Well thats what it implies at least. I'm wondering if there was some sharing of Madden's Pro Tac? If true and implimented well, along with less tape tp tape passing and better goalies, I think the majority of us will be quite pleased this year. Starting to get excited here, bring on the gameplay vids EA!

Lol at you guys reading into any little thing and creating features out of them. Just be patient and wait and see what they have for us exactly before you get letdown or overhyped.

On that note, my off-the-wall take on this quote -- BASED ON NO ACTUAL FACTS -- and the previous mention that 3rd & 4th liners will have more use is that physical play will have a cumulative effect on players. So pounding on someone all game will cause them to be less effective through loss of stamina and/or a higher chance of injury, as well as some sort of individual aggression level that will fluctuate during the game. So repeatedly targeting an opposing player could cause them to lose their cool, possibly taking a penalty in the process.

How's that for creating a feature out of a relatively vague quote, Will?
