With the exception of what I pointed out, the other 3-5 scenes featured vicious and exaggerated (there's that word again) animations. I responded b/c prior to me watching this vid, it seemed this was your point of reference for less-over-the-top tackles animations. But in these eyes, I witnessed more of the same.
One of us needs to learn how to count. There's not 5 other scenes to choose from.

Based on your last post, that doesn't appear to be the case now, but the unintended consequences is that it gave the appearance of bias.
I wasn't ignoring the new video. As I stated, I don't have QT, and I really have no desire to use QT, I don't like that program very much. Without QT, there was no way for me to see that video.

However, I did post a youtube link in my last post opening the door for you to confirm if that YT video is the same as the QT video. If it's the same, then there is no real issue to discuss on that matter now.

Reaching? I don't think so. We see yet another video of an explosive tackle, and now the developer goes into an in-depth analysis of it... and he makes the comment. In reality, considering how many of these tackles we've seen from them, it's not at all a stretch to consider that he means this kind of action happens an awful lot in BB. Not at all. Context can be historic in addition to being immediate or recent.

That's why I was saying Tackle Alley was meant to show case the spectacular hits. Not only that, but that video shows that a player can can continue moving forward after a hit, so there is movement after a hit, there's just no A, A, A to break the tackle like you see in NFL2K5/APF2K8 (which I absolutely abhor as it's definitely not realistic).
I never said there was no movement after a hit. I've said on several occasions that once an appearance of a sure tackle is made, it's play over. There is no fight from the ballcarrier and that was in the context of what I'd seen up to that point. The tackles in the newer video have some differences but it's not Night and Day, we just saw something more promising this time.

Madden already has too many big hits. If anything, it needs to be toned down a lot. You can literally hitstick all game long.

And yet you did. Irony.

You're right, context is everything. The context, which is non-refutable in the video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpxW9kckvpM), has to do with the simulation of movement, the actions that are taking place, the decisions that are being made, and the movements that are occurring. That's what the developer says before the statement. The quote 'this is the kind of stuff you'll see in backbreaker again and again' is clearly in reference to the items he had just explained. It has absolutely nothing to do with seeing 'explosive tackles' happening over and over again as you are trying to portray it.

Is this in reference to online or offline play? I didn't notice any big hits when I played franchise mode in Madden '09. I can't think of any single 'wow moment' tackle. I only played a couple of online games, against friends, and again, no big hits stand out that I can recall.

Guess I've come to expect a better response than that from you. I wasn't going to replay the clip just to count exactly how many scenes were looped in the short vid.

I guess I could same the same to you. When I point out there aren't too many tackles in the video because it's looped and you respond:

As if to say you know better, when your answer makes it seem as though you might not have watched the whole video or paid close attention to it (you didn't notice it was looped, how many tackles there were, yet managed to realize that everything else was over the top). What else there was to reply to...

There was nothing ironic about it really. At the time I wrote that, I had no idea whether it was the same video or not, which is why I said "if". I had to speak on it because I had no way to know at the time.

Never said they "happen over and over again". I am saying that they do happen frequently based on the video evidence, and that's how I took it from the developer's comment.

You can do this online or off as far as I know. I almost never miss with the hitstick.
