. Blow Out The ESPN Content : From IGN
This is one we hear a lot from other IGN editors. EA has the exclusive license to use ESPN imagery in their games. Why not actually go out and use it? The ESPN brand is downright ubiquitous when it comes to watching sports, but there's nary a presence of it in the game. If it were up to us, we'd have Scott Van Pelt narrating the week's action in franchise mode. We'd have Chris Berman and Tom Jackson presenting the post-game analysis, NFL Countdown-style. We'd have Stuart Scott and his lazy eye yelling "Jacked Up" at big hits from around the league during the week. The game's graphics and style would be like an ESPN presentation, and since we're dorks, we'd include another option to create skins here so that fans could make their own downloadable images and styles to replace the game's imagery. Can anyone say "Original ESPN2 graphics set"?

Not a bad write up, Id rather play the game and see how Pro Tak works then going by a video where I can't really see whats going on. I swear Ray Lewis flew from one side of the field to the other to help with that tackle.

That Raven's video looks a little off. Instead of being hit, and held up, White looks like his feet get hung and caught up. There's no look/feel of momentum to either player, the hit isn't felt/seen when they collide, and the transition to the ProTak animation from the running animation isn't natural (it just snaps to the ProTak animation).

Not sure what you're talking about.

He's heading for the end zone, get's stood up by 2 players on the side, pulled backward by a player from behind and a 4th player bumps him backward from his front.

Looks pretty accurate and smooth to me.

a players weight doesn't make them better nor worse so I do not see how weight can be reflected in the OVR rating

100% agreed. To clarify again though, that was the reason we wrote this line:

Keep in mind this is very much in progress and we have plenty of work to do to finish this out from tuning to blending to animation. Regardless, I think you can see that even in rough form this system is going to help change the way the game is played forever.

you don't see it? Lendale's forward momentum is immediately stopped when he gets hit from the side by #26, which makes no sense... Ian confirmed that this was being worked on though so im not worried about it.

PRO-TAK rocks!

And see how Steve Smith slows down as he approaches the endzone? Reminds me of this thread.

You can't see the snap from the running animation too the ProTak one?
