Great job. You guys are really making me eat crow and I love it.

One thing, though. I notice that the example everyone seems to use is Brandon Jacobs. I really hope you guys don't end up making him some unstoppable force in the game, because he's really not in real life unless he's going up against defensive backs.

DeMarcus Ware has brought him down singlehandedly on multiple occasions.

Just sayin'

Re: Madden NFL 10 Blog: A Deeper Look into PRO-TAK

That pro-tak stuff looks pretty good.

One thing I was wondering though. If I have a ball carrier rapped up, can I take control of a guy and attempt to strip the ball out of his hands? The controller has a user strip button, so shouldn't we be able to use that to strip instead of going in for the pile-up? I see this all the time in the NFL when a player gets stood up. That's why when ball carriers get into a lot of traffic they just dive forward.

There is a difficult fine line to be reached here. On the one hand Jacobs should not be untackleable, on the other hand you SHOULD be forced to gear your defense to stop him.

Sliders will be HUGE this year. HUGE.

Whatever the case, I don't think there will be a Backbreaker game. I could be wrong but I really don't think so. And I also think that now that EA is making HUGE strides with Madden, Backbreaker won't stand a chance of even coming close, especially with NO NFL LICENSES. It'll be another APF 08 which was a dud...and an UGLY, PS2 looking, no new tech of a dud, at that.
explain to me how entrance vids and gameplay screenshots posted in the last two weeks don't equal "new game related info"?

I hope this works as well as advertised.

Re: Madden NFL 10 Blog: A Deeper Look into PRO-TAK

Any chance Pro Tak could do a sled animation like Turner did to Kansas City last year?
