yea its fine if ur breaking away or no one is near you but even ed reed tucks the ball away in traffic on 09 they run with both arms at their sides and the ball in one hand no matter if they are 50 yards away from another player or surrounded by linemen

Re: Ians Twitter: Possible updated running animation vid today!

For a big ball carrier like a bigger RB or FB, TE, LB, this looks ok.

I like that first running style. Looks more organic. Could probably pass as the LB's running style with the ball. He really looks like James Harrison on that long run.

I think that both styles actually fit. It all depends on the player running, level of fatigue, when a player is open field, yada. The 09 style running even looks better in that vid because it looks like you're using the Madden 10 engine to demonstrate the "old style". Maybe if I had better angle, I could see the runner's stride better to be fully sure.
But, anyway, Ian, u guys have to really study the games to see how different players run....
Oh, and I'm mad at u for having to come over to this site to get the latest instead of on your EA blog. Lol.

Much better. Its looks like a big fast guy who's not that quick but fast in a straight line type of run style. Long strides for speed but may be bad in cornering.

More than one running style is needed. Let the differant run styles be according to a players quickness, agilty, weight and of course speed.

Why not just use more than one running animation for different sizes and speeds of players?

My thoughts exactly. Since it seems like they can modify animations so quickly, why not just make a bunch of animations and link them to the players.
