Well as far as another patch being expensive. I have no doubt there is a cost to producing a patch. I also have no doubt that there will be some cost to not producing another patch or at least undoing what this patch broke somehow.

Its a delicate balance. Hard to put a value on Good Will. And right now its getting damaged. But who knows how much that will cost them in the long run in relation to the cost of a patch. Its a business decision. They have to do what they feel makes the most economic sense.

I personally can't see anything that this patch fixed, because the Historical glitch was taken care of in the Roster Updates themselves, correct?

So all the patch has done for me is broke my post game high lites.

But regardless of that, the game was still worth it to me.

I am just going to assume that there won't be another patch, delete 1.06 and start a franchise.

As much as I agree with your comments I would probably leave the whole 2k and EA thing out of this as its only going to lead to comparisons and arguments and this thread doesnt need that at this point, but trust me I agree with what your saying.

In terms of the QA, I used to get really irritated and openly wondered what they were doing that allowed things like this to pass through this process but Ive come to the conclusion that they probably have so many things to look for and are in such a time crunch that its inevitable that some things will leak through and into the market when the game is released. Now things that were in last years game and are still in this years game is really dumbfounding but in a way I guess Im left to assume its an ongoing problem that wont get fixed since I have a real problem believing they forgot about it when they were developing the game.

Like I said, Im sure Russell has good intentions and I honestly dont believe that they are trying to half *** anything for a profit but it is frustrating right now so hopefully an announcement of some sort happens.

Well I just had some weird bugs happen post-patch. New franchise.....announcers simply cut out and all the sound I have is some odd pinging. I tried to do an in-game save, and everything just went black and I had to restart my ps3.

Hope this is a one-time occurrence.

Thats what I did, I deleted 1.06 and kept playing my franchise but there are some really strange things happening. For instance when Im looking at the trade screen the button presses arent working for ****, I mean Im having to press square and triangle over and over just to get it to register. The game isnt running quite as smoothly as it was before either. Its not my controller as I was having zero problems playing COD: WAW last night so that isnt it so Im left to assume this is a by product of either my system wanting to log into sports connect but cant since I dont have the patch or the first patch helped keep things stable and now that I dont have it, it shows.

Damn, my game won't even load up now after this patch. It's not my PS3...all other games work fine and my disc is clean as a whistle. I have no idea what just happened.

Well I know one thing, if they dont make another patch, this game is going on ebay or to gamestop.

i'll be more careful next time I download a patch that's SUPPOSE to fix problems, not create them.
