Yes, we all paid our hard earned 60 bucks. But even with some of these problems, this game is still a great entertainment value for the dollar. The devs I believe put their blood, and sweat into this game. And I am betting when they released this patch they did so honestly thinking the problems were solved. But sometimes things don't always work out that way. But there is no reason to keep holding their feet to the fire. This game is not perfect. . . but tell me what is???
The problem with statements like this is that they start to concern "feelings" more than business. I hate to sound cold about it, but I don't really care how hard the developers tried when putting this game together. If promises are made about a product to help boost sales, the product needs to deliver on those promises. If you bought a brand new car that was supposed to have leather seats, but when it showed up, you found out it had tweed seats, would you not be upset? Even if they told you the car runs great, you would be disappointed, and it would matter to you.

I agree with everybody that The Show is the best game of baseball around (although I might like 08 better than 09 actually), but I will never understand how having parts of the game that simply do not work is defensible. I'm not wishing that they would have done things differently with the game, or added things that aren't there. I just want the things that are there to work properly...for it to be a complete product. You guys throwing that "entitlement" argument around are so disillusioned it's sick. The "sony god" will not smite you if you show the slightest bit of disappointment in the game. It's ok. Really.

To that end, I am "entitled" to receive what I paid for, as it was advertised to me.
Single best post I have read in this massive thread, not pertaining to possible user end fixes.

I don't care about SCEA, or their 'feelings'. I enter into a consumer relationship with them, after that, its over. That very premise, rules out a sense of entitlement. I mean some of the arguments here about not being vocal when the game is obviously flawed, are mind boggling.

no wonder we have very little power as consumers any longer. hell, we buy cars from other countries that still understand how the game is played, because we obviously dont in this country.

"the game is good", so ****ing what. Its also broken. For me, not having an accurate schedule for my team, equals broken. Just as crashes and lineups. I shouldn't have to jump through hoops, unless advertised.

Has anyone stopped anyone from being vocal on this thread? I don't see that anyone has? Am I missing something, lol? Who is saying the game isn't flawed? Or do you want people screaming and pitching a fit? Would that be better?

The people who throw out the "loyalist" and, how many times have I seen "apologist" thrown about??? There's been no apologizing for the games flaws, but to what degree? Is that the rub? The the same people who go way overboard, causing others to step in with an attempt as some maturity and then get labeled "apologist", just makes this go 'round and 'round.

If someone doesn't care about SCEA and wants a business deal, so be it. For those who do care about the relationship with SCEA, so be it.

Hoping Russell is doing well.

I don't understand this; if the game is flawed; why don't they just trade in the game or just sell it on E Bay. It is not that hard to do. I have not yet DL the patch, but I will do it tomorrow. I am still loving this game even with all its issues. I was hoping that the line up bug would get fixed, but I can live with it.

Are you talking about pressing R2 when you come up to bat? If so, that still works for me. Actually, I haven't had any problems post-patch, in my pre-existing franchise (using DET, btw.) - no freezes, boots, missing replays, or anything of the sort. I mentioned my team, because I don't think DET had any schedule adjustments. I am good with the patch...

yup, forum is slowly heading down the IGN and GameFAQS forum paths. Unfortunate to say the least.

Did you try my updated roster using Knights roster lineup fix as a base? Works pretty good, huh?

Yeah it did. I like what he did. I was hoping they could fixed it on there on though.
