I was going to share my thoughts - but 100 pages in two patch threads probably have it all covered. I'll just grab a torch and start walking...

Should franchises be started over after downloading this patch? I am only a few games into it, so starting a new one is no big deal. Is it recommended to start over? And to continue using Knight's rosters?

Thank you!
Personally, I'm waiting to see what info Russell has to pass on before I forge ahead.

That said, if you're moving on now, I'd start over. It hasn't been formally stated either way (I don't think) by SCEA, but many of the problems seem to be with pre-patch franchises. I know there are those with zero issues, but IMO, starting over is the safest bet at this point.

As for the rosters, there seems to be no link between the issues and the rosters (other than the stat glitch, of course) so you should be fine to go on with Knight's rosters too.

I too have a Cardinals franchise in progess up to May 4. Everything was fine in the game I played last night with Replays and Post Game Highlights. I then went back to the Schedule screen and went to the Dodgers schedule and checked there boxscore from May 4th and the game kicked me out to the XMB. I am using Ridins first full roster from March 27 I believe, but like stated before it really has nothing to do with the rosters.

Just my 2 cents!!!

Yes. I did the same last night. Works fine with the exception of postgame highlights missing.

Thanks guys for the quick responses...I have not DL'd the patch...yet. Although something tells me that there will not be another patch. They released one that causes more problems than it fixes, and by this point, they are probably just working on MLB 10 for next year...

I was going to reference a certain Big Lebowski quote regarding a plane and a mountain.

I would hope that not to be the case as MLB 09 has only been out for what...60 days? That is not good business, IMO.

guys I can't upload the 1.01 patch as I don't know how. I thought I could copy the game data utility but it won't let me.
