Unless they create a 'Hustle' rating and take Adembroskie's suggestion, I don't see this being a good thing for the Sim Nazis.

Sounds like Phil needs to be taken out behind the woodshed...

Please remove the meter or make it only appear on the lower levels. Remember the idea was to streamline the presentation and eliminate all the clutter on the screen.

I'll assume you already got 100 twitter messages on this and won't send you one as well.

Elusive QB's should get the "warning" shakes sooner then the statue QB's, IMO.
That's actually a brilliant idea, and would lend some incentive to having a QB with higher awareness.

If Ian posts about this at some point, I'll help hammer this suggestion to him. I really like it.

Doesn't whatever you play rookie or all madden with the cpu translate over to online??? Like say you play rookie theres going to be more art on the players like, the names, elusivness symbol or the bull under a DT.

I don't see any of that on all-pro or all-madden online or offline. I'm just talking about the meter not the button mashing part. Although I not fond of the mashing, it makes sense.

I hope the meter will be turned off for all-pro or all-madden and leave the suspense to the hardcore and let the casuals and less experienced have the real drama of this feature.

Sounds real good so far. Can't wait to test drive this game.

Ian,

This almost seems like a no brainer. Let us watch the fight. The pile ups look too good to be watching for button changes and a meter.

And remember, on Sundays, most of the time you don't know who revovered the fumble until the ref gets to the bottom of the pile.

I'd personally like to see a rating for..

Hustle
Motor
Plays with Heart
Makes the players around him better
Intangibles
Blue collar
Relentless

And all those other cheesy attributes the media tries to assign to players.

I'm being facetious by the way.

Re: ESPN: Madden 10 preview

I feel like this thread is a dog pile and we are all mashing the button to remove the meter, and I don't see anyone mashing to keep it.

The preview was nice, though it seems to have been released before EA intended for it to be.
