I just considered using the latest update and redoing everything...but there are simply not enough guys editable on that set for me to warrant doing it. Weighing the stat glitch vs. what I know needs to be done for the roster to be correct for FullMinors....it's just not there.
So it wouldn't have mattered anyway.
Guys are going to grab the latest update....do their edits/creations and that is great. Very nice work and exactly what some guys might be looking for. It's just not the right fit for me(not their work....the "base set" I would have to use from SCEA right now)

As much as the career stat glitch sucks, one has to weigh this glitch versus having accurate minor league players/prospects to deal with (as well as edited MLB stances, deliveries, etc.) in franchise, especially in future years of the franchise. I think at the end of the day, that is more important if you are going to play more than one year of a franchise.

Plus, not every career stat is wrong. I know stats are big in baseball, but as far as I know, it will track season stats correctly (and guys that don't have the career stat glitch, right?).

At the end of the day, it comes down to individual preference, but the above is my opinion.

Well, sorry to interrupt some of the doom and gloom, but on a a bit of brighter news...lol...after simming through a couple seasons, I changed the staff of four teams now (including the mystical farm director) with no hiccups or weird swapping, so that's a plus.

Also, as someone mentioned, unbalanced trades are now handled AND I believe I noticed I was properly compensated for my FAs (to be fair though, I only ran test runs pre-patch as well, so it's not something I had ever specifically looked at pre-patch).

Far from perfect guys, and I certainly understand the frustration of those who are having to start from scratch, but if you haven't passed the point of no return, the patch is actually a solid improvement IMO.

My 2 cents are that this patch sucks. I know most games won't go this far to fix a product that is broke but if it was tested it wouldn't be broke. I don't get how when this game was released there was already bugs and glitches up within hours shouldn't have this been caught before? With all the time wasted waitng for the patch, not knowing what it will fix (not much) I really soured on this game. Knight got me hooked last year with the rosters and I was amped up this year for the game after reading about all the new features, but it seems that they overlooked all the bugs to get these features. With all the problems not fixed and the problems with this new patch it seems like a waste of time. You can't enjoy the work of Knight and Co unless you go and spend money for another controller and you can't get any of the new patch features without all the roster problems and stat problems. I've waited for this patch to start my chise and with nothing fixed like they say it is, the wait has made me forget this game, sorry for the rant guys, maybe they will make a patch to fix the patch. Knight and Co your rosters may be the last chance but not for a while

Yeah, I guess you're right it's better than nothing. Man, I've been wishing for years that we could just turn the whole fatigue/CPU logic stuff OFF if we want. I understand the thought behind it, but for me it's always caused more harm than good. I like to emulate the real lineups before each game. I usually set them up the following day after the real games have been played (yeah it's fanatical, I don't deny it). It's such a pain to have all my efforts thwarted by some bogus cpu logic and to constantly get that message about the coach thinks "so and so" could use a day off, I'll rest them when the real guys rest. On top of that it causes all these other unnecessary problems (RBI men leading off, the DH always being exhausted, etc...just silly). Same goes for the pitcher confidence stuff, it's way overdone IMO. Leave it in the game for those who want it but I'm begging SCEA to please give us the option of turning this stuff OFF already and let us play our games the way we want to.

Ya, the historical sucks to lose but having milb guys is much better, especially in a RTTS where the only stats you worr yabout are your own guys anyway.

It might even be kind of funny if like gabe kapler or someone gets 3000 hits, just have to laugh

I agree, and I think its worth downloading unless you are set in finishing your previous franchise.
The CPU roster control lineup workaround is enough reason for me to have downloaded it, plus the Cubs schedule since I play with the Cubs.

Earlier I thought it was just a BS patch, now Ive learned its a complete cockup, for me anyhow. I couldn't be more disappointed.

Im going back to NHL 09...and maybe in a few months the issues will be solved.

And by then, what's the point? In the end, you do the best you can with what you have. In my humble opinion, guys like Knight, Ridin, and Wookie (there you go man) saved this game. SCEA are the ones who dropped the ball.
I think you misunderstood me this isnt a knock on anybodies work or time frame and yes who knew ?
I just always thought if rosters were started after the second update they would have less caps to create ect IMO
Thanks to all Rostermen
