I've read a number of pages, but not this full thread. I've seen a reference to this patch actually causing a crashing/freezing of a franchise? Can someone confirm if this is the case, or an isolated incident? The benefit from the patch (based on what I gather) just isn't worth the risk to my franchise/season if this is true.

this is Knights rosters using the SCEA update from 3/7 or 3/8. I then used the workaround at the time to cure the historical stats glitch.

This is what I've been using and haven't had any issues with the lineups or whatnot. There are no real minor leaguers in this update, except for the Cards and a sprinkle of others.

What about the ONLINE DISCONECT TRAFFIC DELAY ISSUE....did they resolve this? The Patch explanation doesnt clarify if they patched this or only attempted to. Sounds vague!

Exactly, The Chef is reading waay too much into his statement. Chef, that's why he put "contaminated" in quotes, lol.

I started a franchise today no problem, and it didn't freeze when I simmed. Granted, I did not play a game, but it's fine I tell ya. You just won't have correct historical stats with Knights or Ridins.

Thanks, thats what its starting to sound like to me as well, I just wish they would take a little more time to fully explain things instead of leaving some things up for debate as it would go a long ways to solving some of the questions posed in this thread so far.

Thanks for testing it. In the end, if you dont have the patch you cant play online correct? Are there any other things that I cant do if I dont download the patch? I dont play online at all so not having it makes no difference to me and hearing people mentioning their game crashing leaves me rather hesitant to download it at this point.

The Roster Control is not working 100%. What you can do though is start a franchise, turn on roster control, then after spring training, then you set all the lineups. If you set the lineups in spring training or in the main menu (before franchise), they will not stick.

If this is true, will someone confirm this. I don't care about the linup/stat glich as i can figure it out, but if these rosters will be also missing the elements neccecery for the fixes that were done, then it is truly "contaminated".
