Re: WOW, the first true gameplay video rocks

I like this vid alot better than the trailer. The trailer showed us alot of new stuff, but the jimmy fallon vid showed us real time gameplay which we as hardcore gamers all want.

Although it was on rookie or pro(more than likely), it made the game look alot better than a fast paced trailer to me anyway. But I guess thats what they have to do to grab other folks attention.

How else will they improve in the game if it compensates for sloppy play?

If your goal is to make a game sim, then it should be sim on all levels.

Now if your a casual player or a rookie and choose to play on a easier level then the players ratings should be toned down to make things easier, but all animations should be effected the same on all levels. This way when you improve and move onto the next level you have already been taught how to properly handle your players.

Also do you think they actually made different animations for separate levels. I don't believe so , if it exist on Rookie its going to exsist on all Madden.

That's true but many many casuals don't want a hard game. So yeah rookie has basically always been for casuals. All-pro and All-Madden are for the sim heads. Also you might see players running faster on rookie than other players since the speed difference has the biggest gap on rookie mode.

Anyways, the playbooks seem simple (it seems like they removed the whole PIP playbook stuff), and the on screen score graphic is much better too and is true to TV channels. They obviously have the game set on rookie (since Jimmy did do an unbelievable pass play where he dropped back), and you really can't see any presentation in the game. They probably have it set to minimal so that new features to presentation won't be revealed so soon.

I see your point and yeah, I do agree.

I'm just thinking if they are 10 yr olds that all they do is up and chuck, but then, where do they learn?

Maybe the learn at the next level up.

The majority of brothers in here are stating that the game was set on either Rookie or Pro since Jimmy pulled off that pass, but we truly don't know.

Now let me ask you this. What if the game was on All Pro or All Madden?
How would you truly feel if that was the case?

The game has a history of always being set on rookie when being demoed on TV or when sites like IGN post gameplay vids. I wish it would be different this year but it seems like they will still play on rookie for the vids...

If it was on all-pro/all-madden, it would be disappointing but I highly highly doubt that the game was set to that.

Another thing is that marketing could maybe tell them to set the game to rookie so that big time plays could "wow" casual viewers since they will happen a lot since they are easier to pull off on rookie.
