Man, I wish you were there to test the integrity of CPU roster control/lineups/rotations. Didn't you say that when you were there, they worked properly at that point? I really really would like to know what happened with this just out of total curiosity.

Next year, they should have some of you guys come do a quick QA before the game goes gold. People here at OS, that are die hards with the game could find stuff in a few days that is wrong with the game, especially franchise related issues. And they'd probably do it for free (with possible travel related expenses).

OK, I've got to let the CPU roster control/lineup/rotation issue go, and just be patient.

Can someone quickly chronicle what is wrong with the franchise mode.....

Meaning if I start a new franchise what will have me banging my head against a wall and eventually be a game killer?

The cpu will adjust line-ups through the new auto-fix logic despite the fact you may have roster control on. Some clean up guys end up batting 1st or 2nd in the order and the lineups just don't reflect reality on some squads.

The DH position gets tired - as tired as someone playing the OF every day. Not sure what happened there as it was fine the last couple years.

Career stats are goofed up on some players.

Start times for some teams are wrong. Most of the Cubs games are at night rather than during the day.

There is a DL bug. If you put someone on the DL, you can bring a player up to replace him but you can't sign someone as a free agent. (Not 100% sure on that).

Plus I think the fielding errors are broken when using manual fielding.

Hopefully, they fix it for next year.
I must admit that I find it strange that I seem to be the only person posting here who has had this problem. The thing is I would hardly consider myself to be of slow reflex. In fact I am a hockey goaltender in real life. Anybody who knows what that position entails, knows that it's not a position for the slow of reflex.

What I did was test the AUTO FIX and it worked for the teams I tried. I'm not going to dig back through all the posts, but I know I did St. Louis, Pittsburgh, Milwaukee and it worked great. Had I done Toronto I would have seen Bautista being plugged in at 3rd base, had I done Colorado I would have seen Helton put in #2, but I didn't do those teams. The test I did with St. Louis worked great. I put Pujols in AAA, brought up some unknown OFer to take his spot on the roster, hit AUTO FIX and it moved Duncan from the bench to 1b, put him in the 2 hole and basically just moved everyone up one notch.

Most teams, from what I see do okay when you use AUTO FIX, however it's not AUTO FIX that is really the problem. For some reason you can set your lineups and start a season and they get scrambled without even using AUTO FIX.

Yeah, I actually told them to get me up there for a week to look over the game, but I really can't expect them to do that, but I asked anyway.

Jim you and Knight are 2 of the most respected posters on here and much like myself are realest. That being said they SCEA would be doing themselves a huge favor by letting you guys test the game for a week or 2, even before they had a media day. All it would do is make things better for everyone and that that would be a good thing.
