And people are venting over that policy. Common place on a message board and I have no problem with it (since I'm doing it too ).

OS veterans seem to talk down to people who dare say one bad thing about the developers. All I wanted was any info on how the patch is going because it has been 2 weeks since they announced that are working on a patch. I did not ask for a developer diary, I did not ask when it will be completed, all I asked for was an update. These developers should not be put on a pedestal like what most people here have done.

So my post was kissing SCEA's a$$? Wow! Care to tell me how? Care to point out others? Seems you've been taking note of them, so share a few. I have no problems with it. Point out to me where I was wrong.

Re: MLB 09 The Show Patch Announcement From the MLB Development Team

I've honestly played this game ~10 times since March 3rd. Part of me wishes they would have kept this game a month longer so they could have delivered on their "better AI lineups in Franchise" and fixed the majority of the bugs that we are seeing today. With competition, I'm assuming that will never be the case, but I guess I'm shocked that a game made by SCEA (especially this team) would have so many bugs holding it back. The past 2 years this game has been near flawless in that department. I guess the more things you add, the greater the chance to encounter some of this stuff.

I do feel like we haven't heard much from the dev team at all this year, I'm not sure if this is why Russell is posting more or not, but it was always nice of them to drop in and say a few things here and there. Nevertheless, let's hope they drop us a line soon enough detailing fixes for the majority of the stuff holding this game back.

What you consider putting on a pedestal, I consider showing respect. But to each their own.

Sorry CB, but I completely agree with the other poster. Devs ARE put on a pedestal in the Show forums and dissenting opinions are rejected with extreme prejudice. Sometimes people are a bit disrespectful but that happens in EVERY forum and thread on OS. But the moment it happens in the Show forums, people get called out to a degree I don't see anywhere else.

The Community day interaction has left many here feeling as though they have a personal connection with these guys (some do) and I think that has tainted the objectivity. That's just my opinion but I do think it gets out of hand in these forums. One mod won't even moderate here anymore because of it.

It is truly amazing to me how there are probably about 5-10% of posters on OS that have absolutely NO reading comprehension skills.

sarge81, please quote and bold the part of countryboy's post that expressed condescending remarks toward anyone, let alone someone that doesnt always agree with SCEA. I have read his post 4 times now and the only thing I can think of is that he said following that business plan would not make you successful. He then goes on to say how he understands where people are coming from but says he doesn't see how it makes any difference to have people complaining on a message board about it.

Either you are having a bad day and are choosing to take anything that doesn't support you 100% to be a condescending remark, or you just have an agenda. This thread is 27 pages long. Do you honestly think that your concerns haven't already been addressed less than 10-15 times in this thread? Do you honestly think it takes more than once or twice or three times for a dev to see a complaint and realize it is valid?

here is my suggestion. If you don't like the way SCEA does business, then you get to have the free will to NOT purchase the game. You are the one that needs to get over himself.

And for the record, NO ONE is saying your complaints aren't valid. NO ONE is saying that SCEA is a God. But they have been very supportive of OS and some of us choose to give them the benefit of the doubt. You seem to just WANT WANT WANT and have no regards to how the company does the other 364 days of the year. but is someone shows support for SCEA they are kissing their a**? Yeah ok.

I don't think anyone will say that every single person in this forum is objective. The argument at hand is that sarge81 took countryboy's post as condescending and a** kissing. Can you read his post and say you agree with sarge81?
