One thing that has helped me is to get her involved in some PC gaming. Yes, she loves stuff like Bejeweled and even got her doing Zoo Tycoon and some Nancy Drew mystery stuff. I think it's cute when she comes into the other room and tells me how she just leveled or solved the crime of the century. Reminds me of when I say stuff like, omg I just hit a 3 pointer at the buzzer to win the NCAA championship.

I love this article. I got married Feb 08 and my game is pretty much gone while where together. I got a Wii for christmas and bought the Wii fit and the Sims for my wife and she loves it. While she's on the Wii I get my time alone to go play my games.

As an update, almost 10 months in and I have managed to settle into a little sports gaming groove. For Christmas I bought the wife (who is a teacher) a DS along with the various Brain Games- SHE LOVES IT. Honestly, she plays it every night for at least an hour or so. This is the perfect opportunity to sneak in a few games of Killzone 2, or my RTTS career.

I still have to use the strategies from the article, but getting your wife hooked on some type of gaming has been amazing.

I too have had to succomb to the Bravo Housewives show, the project runways, and various others to dive into her world so that she can understand my gaming world.

Man-cave is a must. I love my man-cave.

Thanks to the Marine Corps, and sleep deprivation I'm trained to go at least 72 hours on only about 8 hours of sleep - definitely helps when you're trying to get to wk8 in Madden to see if your guys are in the running for an award etc.

Much progress has been made in my gaming life since getting married in 2006. She understands that I NEED to play video games just as much as she NEEDS to window shop on Nordstroms for hours on hand.

I've got a little onE too, and he is 18 months...and I still find enough time to get my gaming in and be satisfied.
