Great to hear that Rgiles.

When the first video of M10 is released, as we all know, it will be analyzed frame by frame.

And a 150 post thread will follow.

I have a question I would love to hear from each of the 8 that went to CD.

Does your unique experience make waiting until August 14 more difficult than it was before?

After reading the reports and the blogs I can hardly wait until Madden comes out. I would think knowing a lot of what the game will be like may make the wait even more unbearable. Just turning 09 on and knowing all of the things that are already fixed for 10 makes 09 less and less fun to play. It would tear me apart having actually played M10.

Like I wrote, I'm only seeing this for the first time today/tonight.
My eyes hurt reading most of the posts.

Answer to two points raised in this thread:

1. You guys are only being positive because you got an early look at the game.

There isn't one guy who went to that event who didn't appreciate the opportunity. To say otherwise would be an outright lie. That said, if the game sucked or was Madden 09 service pack 2 ... you'd know it by now in this thread.
And I am insulted that you think some of the guys at the event are such fanboys that they can't be objective. I have never kissed Ian's behind on these boards and don't intend to start now. If something about the game ticks me off, Ian will be the first guy to know (and did ... at this event).

2. I know my Xs and Os better than guys at the event. I coached the Ogsdenburg Ducks junior varsity football team!
Are there guys at OS who know more about the Xs and Os of football better than the nerds who attended this event? Absolutely, no doubt. Speaking for myself, I have never been confused for Bill Belichick. All I could offer was my background playing Madden. I have never covered Terrell Owens in junior college or outcoached Steve Spurrier in a bowl game.

Not really. I can wait. Football season is over. (I know that's not the answer you're looking for ... but I am a Madden guy in season. During the off-season, I move on to other games.)

After reading the reports and the blogs I can hardly wait until Madden comes out. I would think knowing a lot of what the game will be like may make the wait even more unbearable. That part is true. I really couldn't play Madden 09 now. Oh, wait, I couldn't play it regardless of this event. Anyway...

The one problem I found in the passing game is that slower game speed means passing windows stay open longer. However, so long as the pass rush is balanced, this shouldn't be a problem as you'll only have 3-4 seconds to get rid of the ball anyways.

The matchups are outstandingly well balanced. You don't throw right against the Raiders unless you've got a Larry Fitzgerald over there. Asomugha is just scary over there.

I'd like to see 'em tune it so there's a bit more jostling between defenders and receivers, but they're on the right track on this, definitely.

adembroski, would you say that Madden has improved the WR/CB interaction animations to the point that they are just as good as 2K's?? And giving your honest opinion, which one as far as WR/CB animations are better?? 2K's or Madden's?

To the Elite 8 (lol i love that's how we're coining it ), thank you so much for giving this amazing feedback to EA to improve the game after your time with it. This is BY FAR the single most interesting thread of read on these boards, and that is a testament to your graciousness in answering all of our questions. To see how impressed you all are walking away from the game has me salivating to get my hands on it. Thanks again.
Couple questions for you Adem (or any of you guys):

1) Were all 32 teams played with a few times?

2) How was the feel from team to team? (I know you probably can't go into too much detail, but this is always very important to me. Teams playing like their real-life counterparts. A general thumbs up or down would be awesome ).

And a thank you to EA. Ian and Co. your hard work is more apparent by the day. I commend all of your efforts. Great idea to take the Elite 8 in and polish/change the game based of their advice.

We are not "the Elite 8"
Anyone who believes that is on crack.
We were the 8 chosen.
There's no doubt in my mind that many OS guys deserved the spot ahead of me.
