I'm saying a linebackers responsibility is run first (unless the situation says otherwise) whether he is in man or zone. Being in zone coverage does not negate run responsibility first. This has been a problem not just with Madden but with football games in general. I took play action into account and I actually think the backers are lined up too close and that's why they get sucked in too easily. I think they need to be backed up so that when they make their read step and come down to the line, if it is play action they still have time to turn their hips and drop.

Something that has irked me is the how uniformed the defensive players lined up there isnt much variety there should be more depth LB wise so that they dont get sucked into being blocked so easilyl.... APF has this problem as well which resulted in alot of big run plays especailly to the outside...

It would definitely be a cool "little thing", but other than that, it wouldn't serve much purpose. I just asked the question because I saw they were in, thanks for the response.

I remember when I played last gen madden I re-created the 4-3 defense so the linebackers were off the line a lil more and it helped keep the linebackers from gettin caught up too bad.
