While I think you've made your point you do not like that way of doing it, personally I think it is better that I am not forced into a menu every single time I want to turn Player Lock on/off, also I can change my mind and be a DE one play and a CB the next... agian without going to a menu.

So while I don't think you are wrong, it is a valid opinion; this was our choice to go with this method for Player Lock.
Don't see why there couldn't have been a menu option for this... i.e.

Player Lock Type: OFF | PER PLAY | ENTIRE GAME

If the user picked ENTIRE GAME, the first position locked would be the one that stuck for the entire game. If they wanted to change, they would have to go back to then menu and select PER PLAY and pick a new position the next play then go back to the menu and select ENTIRE GAME again.

PER PLAY would work the way it works now.

OFF the feature would be disabled.

when u pick a player like lets say a Safty, the next play u still have that player, so if all u have to do pre snap is press one button to get the player lock i dont believe its halfed ***.

I'll second that. All it takes is a quick push of the analog stick... is that REALLY such a big deal?

You don't have to switch back to that player each play, it stays on him the entire game if you want. All you have to do is click the stick to lock it.

Haha, I LOVE how overreactive people get.

Agreed. As usual, a mole hill is becoming a mountain. It's not a big deal.

Most of the balls that get swatted like that in real life are horrible underthrows that the DB has time to measure up and wap away....and the reciever has to try to slow down and get to the ball, but his defender is able to get their first.

BUT THE DIFFERENCE IS...

In real life, Quarterbacks can also OVERTHROW their recievers...or lead them and prevent that situation.

So, i guess what i mean to say is there are WAY too many under throws that make that animation show up on almost every deep ball.

So they either need to extend the throw more relative to the reciever...or make the ball obey the laws of gravity and not just float all over the field.

I think EA Misunderstands what a "Lob" pass really is....you aren't actually just throwing it up for grabs 233 feet in the air...it's a solid throw with a trajectory that gives YOUR receiver the best opportunity to catch it at it's highest point....yet time the ballflight in a real-life highlight of a fade pass...Then compare that with some RC'ing in Ncaa...there's no comparison
This blog explains the new passing system. Some of it doesn't apply to NCAA, but the ball physics and landing zone do.

In NCAA 09:

I pick a safety. The next play I still have that player. During the play I don't press the Player Switch button.

Explain the difference to me please. Even Russ admitted that is the same process, but with a button press each play.

Go play any other sports game and see how Player Lock is done. That's how the feature was in every EA sports game in the past and that's generally what is expected. The benefit of Player Lock is so you don't ever have to worry about pressing buttons or accidentally switching during the game.

If some of you simply don't understand Player Lock as a feature, go pick up a game that has it.

Maybe its you that dont understand? this feature isnt like other player lock features because it isnt just so you dont accidentally switch your player, its sole purpose is to give you that certain players veiw on the play/formation.

With this feature you can attack the passing game alot better and be much better at run support by hitting open gaps because you have a much better view of the play. player lock is just about accidentally switching mid play, i like that each play u have the option of turning it on because to use this feature every play doesnt seem like it would help you i think its better to use it in certain situations punt/feild goal block, 3rd and 2 or less and critical 4th down and redzone plays.
