I'm very excited for the new version to be released. How much of an upgrade should we expect in the PC version of coach mode using franchise for head to head play. Any chance of us having broadcasts as part of the game so that we can scout opponents and watch games for entertainment?

Re: The First Official Feature For Madden NFL 10!

Ian,
Ok great now you can make the DB's look at the ball (wow!)

Now tell me other then the "VISUAL" aspect of the game... this doesn't improve the gameplay!
I guess now (in the story you posted) the only difference will be that the DB is looking at the ball.

You see what I would expect would make this feature more realistic (as far as gameplay) would be if you said

" ... not only will the DB now track the ball, but that pick will now have some variables to determine if the catch/pick is EVEN made!"

i.e:
When a player's head is not aligned with his body it will now depend on the player's athleticism whether or not he will be able to stay with the WR or receiver.
VERY rarely will somebody MAINTAIN the speed while tracking a ball. OTHERWISE everybody in the NFL would cover people while looking back at the line of scrimmage.

as an affect/result of the tracking feature this should make the DB either:

1. slow down to focus on the ball and risk being burnt

or

2. stay with the player risking being able to make a play on the ball at the perfect time

This is what makes great DB's like Champ, Deion etc etc so effective they made good decisions based on their matchups!

So Ian and staff you should understand just adding tracking features isn't the only answer. But understand the variables that will be a result of the tracking feature need consideration too!

Cause we all know about the DB's "Slide/warp pick"!

since they have attitudes why not give players their own personal attitudes. For example T.O blowing up on the sidelines or on the field because hes not happy about not getting the ball, T.O would act like himself. extra curricular stuff going on like shoving punching and having teammates stand up for each other. intimidating defensive players should have a intimidating look on there face and do something after making a play to intimidate offensive players.

Are you ever going to bring the vision cone back? I loved this feature when it came out, and was very upset when EA took it out.

Re: The First Official Feature For Madden NFL 10!

they should add towels for QB and hand warmer.

real helmets in the pro bowl

a gatorade shower after a big game

NCAA 10 should add the senior bowl. it will make a much better game.

Re: The First Official Feature For Madden NFL 10!

and qb hand warmer pouches
what about bad snaps from center to qb and long snapper to holder of the feild goal attempt. i do know if you have a qb in shotgun and hes is not that great in shotgun formation he should be at risk of a bad snap or muffing the ball being hiked eather way transition from center aka snapper to qb rarley is perfect due to poor rating or weather related if its raining or snowing you should be at risk if your in shotgun heck why not even give the football its own wetness rateing that gets worse in the game causing wacked out crap if you try funny stuff in the game lol
put a little football symble at bottom and make it get filled once filled the bal is totally wet lol.

What it needs is better models, animations(head turning is in there), and control. Also needs presentation that is much better then last years attempt!

Not to be negative, but Ive blown $50 on your game since 05. None of them have been good enough for me to enjoy. man, I really just want a good game for a change. Im hopeful, but yet with past history I wont be buying the game until Ive rented it.
Ian, I sure hope you guys take note of the above. Not trying to beat a dead horse or diss EA, but this is late technology. Game Play is key. Please improve.
