Yes personal slider settings have an impact on CPU/CPU games. Once the sliders are loaded, it's a wrap. Yes the AI will play the game, but the sliders affect everything going on in the game

After watching that video i will agree that there was no way the centrefielder was going to throw out ichiro at home but it just looked a bit off when he threw to the cutoff man. One thing i gotta say is way overdone is the dust clouds the players make when running, it kinda looks like an airplane trail in the sky.

ps: i'll say this about progressive lighting, if the programmers whine and complain about how hard it is to do then i say scrap it all together. Who really gives a crap about it, i only see it as less time spent on the game itself, work more on players models and AI.

Thought you were referring to the game testers (who are beta testers).

Because it was in 07 doesn't mean it transfers to 09. Change a code and just about everything else may need to be junked. That's how it works and I thought you understood things like that because you keep pointing it out.

My workaround for a roster problem with The Show last year doesn't work in this years game, and on the surface you would not think it would be a problem, but because the code was changed in one thing (probably the addition of the 40 man roster), it had an effect on the workaround. Again, I thought you had more understanding of coding/programming than the average gamer.

My bad, I should have been more specific. I suppose Steve isn't a beta-tester per se, more of a beta-gamer.

And again, it's the main reason I made the post. I was just surprised that something that noticeable was not only not noticed, but that they actually saw the opposite (static lighting).

I definitely don't have more experience, but we've all talked to developers and yes, I know what you're talking about. What I simply meant is I wouldn't see a reason for them to ever downgrade in such a fashion. I mean if you thought that my argument for the jumps that I saw in the demo for The Show were at least tolerable (though I do understand that's not how it's going to be in the game), then you would know where I'm coming from here. This is, literally, a night-and-day difference.

And of course, it could simply be nitpicking in general because I'm thankful for the things in the game that were incorporated, especially real-time. As nemesis said, there are bigger concerns in this game, though that doesn't mean the littler concerns can't be brought up/addressed too. Remember, it's the little things that immerse us in the game!

Does any notice that EVERY A's player has the same batting stance? In the top 3 plays, and in Felix's strikouts shown at the end.

Of gripes for baseball games in general, I wish that sometimes they would incorporate more generic stances than just focusing on unique stances. Because what happens when mid-bend, squared-stance players don't have their sig styles? They all bat the exact same. Then you get rookies in later years and they all bat the same.

I may be in the minority, but I would have much rather preferred seeing 50 generic stances added than 300 unique stances (300 generics wouldn't have been bad either). Besides, generic doesn't need to mean "normal looking" or what have you, it could just mean that it's non-specific... it wasn't targeted to look exactly like a player, even though it may represent a player quite closely. It doesn't need to have a slow moving bat, for example.
