Not sure. I played without changing any settings, and I noticed that infielders had a meter whey they caught the ball but I did not notice one for outfielders when they got the ball.

I'll have to go in and play with the settings.

Regarding the other poster's question about field dimensions, I hit a rocket to the gap with Rollins that I was sure would fall, but the CF made a helluva play and made the catch while falling down. I suppose that was just a great play, but from the 2K9 vids I've seen that ball would have split the fielders and landed for a hit, if not a double.

That was just one game, though, and I'm admittedly not good at hitting yet. I'll have to get back on this afternoon.

A couple of cosmetic things I noticed............. There isn't much variety of fans in the seats. There's probably about 10 different fans just pasted throughtout the seats. Also I noticed when some of the fans are drinking something, they aren't holding anything. LOL. That being said, I am having lots of fun with the demo and can't wait to start my Dodgers franchise!

Jroll hit a single off the first baseman glove, the second baseman grabs it and fires to first regardless....SAFE by a mile but the throw went in the dugout. cut scene comes on Jroll's on third

Yes you can....in the options you can choose to shut off the throwing meter.
I never use it personally. I just go by their arm strength rating(it is time sensitive on the button though...holding it will make stronger throws...but more chance of it being off line or a throwing error completely)

About the crowd.
Demo crowd. Much, much better in the final version. I know somebody was giving Jim grief about this...even going as far as to call him a liar().....the crowd is much better in the final version and the demo crowd "weakness" is further compounded by the fact that it's only a half full stadium.

Autumn Wind....you will see gap shots...plenty of them...balls over the head of the OF'ers and getting by them down the line..

Runner advances two bases on a throw into the dugout.

To be more accurate: If the runner is still running to first then he will only be awarded second, as first base would be considered the first base he advances to.

In your case, Rollins was safe at first, so therefore, second base became the first base he could advance to on the bad throw.
