All my games on the 360 play in Dolby Digital via HDMI from receiver.. Weird
I have never been able to get dolby digital through hdmi as well with the PS3...I have to put my optical cable in the back of the PS3 to get dolby digital. This gets annoying, so I just leave it on hdmi....

Still haven't hit a ball over an OF's head, maybe that isn't in this build.
I too suck at hitting, even worse than usual since I hadn't touched 08 in a while. So today I played around with the sliders and maxed the timing, I had a lot more fun with it. Lost 3-2 in the 7th as the Rays.

Joe whats your setup? I should be able to help you. I am hooked via HDMI and get DD through my receiver. Is your PS3 set up to send audio as bitstream or lpcm?

Can your audio receiver accept 5.1 signals via HDMI in LPCM format?

I have my PS3 set to output LPCM for movies & Bitstream for games I believe. Is there a menu I'm missing. BTW I have an Onkyo 605

You need to set it to LPCM. This way the PS3 does the converting and the receiver will output the decoded signal in the appropriate format.

Did anyone else notice this? When the infield fly rule is in effect on offense, you can't control your baserunners to move at free will. Granted, there wouldn't be too much reason to do so, but I just thought that it was interesting it couldn't be done. The play is essentially "dead" as soon as the ball is hit.

For BR I set my PS3 to LPCM so I can get the HD Codecs, but when I set-it to Bitstream to play The Show I still get LPCM showing on my receiver & not Dolby Digital. If the game offers Dolby Digital then when I set the PS3 to Bitstream I should get DD not PCM.

If I watch a movie that's DD & I set my PS3 to Bitstream the movie plays in DD
