Yes, because game makers are one dimensional, and cant work on "little things" that in the grand scheme of things, add up to huge presentation bonuses. Especially when you buy a 3rd party license.

I always hate these comments. Same in The Show forums when they say, "but you put mascots in but not this". Game companies are made up of different departments. So the intern that is photo-shopping proper logo's etc, chances are, is not working on the AI side of things.

Anyhow, I still agree on the walks thing though. This game will not be as sim as some will have hoped I fear.

On topic, it looks to play as well as 2k8. with both better comentary and better atmosphere and from the looks of things no framerate issues. Which giving its VC's first year with baseball thats alright with me. Its still not The Show but they can get there if they really want to. Looking forward to giving it a whirl via gamefly next month.

Just remember, there is sliders that can fix the lack of walks.

Any ways I love the real time effects, but I am not digging the swing animation.

Lets hope.

I find that sliders just don't do enough, or just do too much when the core game has it's flaws.

I also hope they dont get lazy on the "game out of the box" because of the "slider crutch", due to what I mentioned in the previous sentence.

Yeah...looks like the same horrible swings they've had for awhile now. It's a shame too because at times it can kill the otherwise awesome immersion of their signature styles.

I know simballer said that animations are a big thing for them and they plan on that continuing as a focus, but they just couldn't get them all this year. Understandable to a degree and VC does have a pretty good rep for animations, so that's hopeful for the long term.

If you haven't yet...check out the video on gamespot with the Nationals vs Royals. The guy playing it seems to have a clue, and isn't just grooving it down the middle. Seems like it's played on a higher difficulty because the AI pitcher isn't grooving it either. The result is a pretty good game...had me wishing for another inning.

Flyball, flyball, flyball, flyball, smoked liner, flyball... For the love of Tinker to Evers to Chance, where are the groundballs and softly hit balls in this game? This is football without running plays. Hockey with no neutral zone action.
