I dunno. Man, I was expecting something else. Love the presentation, but the players are really stiff, throwing out the back of their heads. Did the one replay on Dempster making a great play on a ball hit up the middle show the ball going into CF and being fielded by Fukudome? Or did I see it wrong? PLease correct me if I'm wrong.

Man, I dunno. I thought I'd get some "wow" out of it. Hopefully, more to come, but this isn't a good first extensive preview.

2k Should just scrap the baseball games and give up the license. Its the same issues every year with this series.

How can you not get the fundamental sound of a bat hitting the ball. That is the essence of baseball.

They continue to have the same robotic animations. Some of the plays look laughable. All the outfielders regardless of the power meter get into a canned animation like there going to throw there arms out of socket.

Its a shame to have great commentary and the same old gameplay to back it up.

Did you miss the Cubs fans getting angry after the 3rd run scored. They were chanting "(Something, couldn't make it out) sucks!" for a bit.

Looking at the Cubs video I must say it looks pretty good. I like the graphics a lot, while it's a lot better then last year's game it has sort of a scaled down look to it. The announcing is a million times better which is shocking as I thought they'd mail that in again but I think i'll be playing the game with the sound on for a while yet. The only thing that concerned me was not seeing a single ground ball.

No, No...I heard some reactions. I was talking the initial reaction after the HR....pretty pathetic.

The good news is that one of the devs said the crowd is MUCH more boisterous in the final build and they spent plenty of time optimizing them. So that has my hopes up.

Finally!! We get VC on the job of baseball and now I can see the improvements for baseball from 2K. This game is headed in the right direction folks. Although it will not win the graphics battle this year, the thing that always bothered me about 2K baseball was that things that happen is a real baseball game were not happening in 2K7 and 2K8. From these few vids I can see REAL improvement here in the game of baseball. All other things will come, but the gameplay, and of course the usual 2K presentation is looking sharp. For all of the negative remarks here, the positives from where this game has come from in a short time far out shine the bad.
I am looking forward to this game.
Finally, from the small amount of video evidence I've seen, 2K is on the right track.
