My personal opinion is that I would, but I am curious to hear thoughts of the players that are against it.

ya but without using the guess pitch feature and just by guessing internally, you will still get the boost, and it's a much more natural one. If you use the game feature, not only does it give u a natural boost, it gives you an artificial boost for one swing making your player slightly better than he is.

I think it's the most unrealistic part of the game if u ask me.

In my opinion, I just don't like the feature. Say its a 2-0 count and you're looking for a low and in fastball (I'm a lefty). You can use the "Guess Pitch" feature and get the added contact/power bonus for guessing right and hammer it. OR if you don't use the feature, you won't get the added bonus but still will cream it because the pitch came low and in.

I still guess in hitters counts, I just don't like the added bonus to my attributes. You still get the user bonus of being able to square one up.

Again, Just my view on the thing.

Thanks for the input. I ran a search and couldn't find anything on this subject so I started a new thread because I didn't want to derail this one.

But quick question for you two:

Do you think the boost you get from guessing right is just to overly done? Or do you think that if a batter guesses the pitch right (IRL), it shouldn't be an advantage (probably didn't word that right but I think you know what I mean).

in the game the guessing the pitch right is overdone just for the simple fact that you're gonna get 2 bonuses....natural and artificial. If you're asking solely on the artifical boost, i also think that's overdone as well.

In real life, a batter gets a significant advantage og correctly guessing the pitch. Improves the timing aspect....imagine if they guess pitch AND location....big big advantage.

Also, what do most people use for Guess Pitch? Classic 1/6? 1/4?
I use classic 1/6

The strike zone is determined by the batter's stance as he or she prepares to hit a ball. Therefore, the strike zone varies depending on the height and stance of each batter.

In this game, is the strike zone fixed for everyone? If so, thats not good at all.

No it is not. It is on the height and stance of each batter.
