The one thing that irks me still is a fielder running to the ball, and the ball going right through them. Happened to me twice was Iwamura. One was a grounder that went under Iwamura, who just continued running. Second was a line drive right through him. Didn't even try to catch it.

I totally disagree with the OF'ers being off this year.
I think they are pretty much dead on. I don't necessarily mean their depth...but more in how it translates into hits and catches. .....especially doubles/triples.
Considering I edited every player to try and combat this in '08......I feel I've got a pretty good handle on it.
I'm not saying you don't(if you feel opposite of this).....I'm just commenting.
Granted....I've only played several games and the demo.....but it's already apparent to me.

Ok ,
Im up to around 25 games of this demo and alls I can say is wow its everything I could have hoped for !
I normally dont play with guess pitch on but it seems greatly improved as I guessed right but nothing but a big breeze.
Like how Howard has a harder time check swinging then Rollins .
Nice blend of everything you would seen in a real MLB game
I like the OF route to the ball but still need to work on my diving for Infleiders.
Ball psychics are really good , foul tips ect.
Tons of great Catchers animations minus a few hiccups and missed tags that wont be in the final version

Totally agree, I've hit a line shot over the LF's head in the demo. It's definitely noticeable on hits down the line, last year LFs and RFs would keep a lot of those doubles to singles. I do feel the OFs play a couple steps too deep; however, I'm also of the baseball philosophy that OFs should play more shallow to cut down on bloopers which occur at a higher rate than solidly struck deep fly balls/line shots. Reward the pitcher for pitching well and causing batters to not make solid contact instead of trying to save them when they do make a mistake.

Check this ss out. Look where the ball is on the throw to 1st. I attached the pic. Keep in mind this was a caught ball for an out.

Played about 20 games and haven't seen that at all. ?????
