thats how I am Rob. Until I see the pitching motions and batting swings/stances for myself, I am going to remain optimistic.

I am feeling positive. I cant imagine they did all of these improvements and left out the pitching animations...at least some updates to them.

on a sort of side note....with the INCREDIBLE way this game is looking, can you even begin to imagine what this will look like in 2010 with the new player models???

Forgive me if this has already been posted somewhere but I do not remember seeing it, but Kolbe said we will be able to edit our RTTS guy after creating him. Nice little bonus. Looking down at comment 11 in today's blog, Kolbe answered the guys question.

Wow the attention to detail this year!! Even the scoreboards show the away and home team logos now. Check out the Camden Yards scoreboard when they are playing the Royals, and Citizen's Bank Park when the Phillies are playing the Rays.

You will see it well when Howard knocks down the ball at first. The outfield scoreboard shows the logos. SWEET!! Awesome detail!!

To be honest, I'm beginning to wonder how much they can do with the curent animations as it stands. What I mean is that the pitching motions have more "arm action" and shoulder movement (obviously) which may be a limitation of the curent models (the "boxy, wide shoulder builds). Not saying that negatively or as a statement of fact, just musing...

I guess I'm wondering how much focus there will be since they are looking to update the models anyway. The bright side is that the batter animations looked improved.

As for the rest, it's all good. I like the subtle improvements-especially the hot shots that glanced of of gloves and bodies. Looks good and sounds promising.

Also loving the little equipment touches...now my Jack*ss RTTS CAP can rock shades and baggy pants while he dismantles his team with his selfish ways

Sounds great, but those throwing animations especially @ the release points are bad. I guess we will know next week if they've been fixed or not from the Community Event

Re: MLB 09 The Show – New and Improved A.I.

I wonder if they've made improvements to the actual fielding method this year or will they still retain the less-immersive, simple one-button press to throw to the corresponding base?
