Re: NHL 09 Patch Update From David Littman

I rented the ps3 version and so far here are my impressions

penalties are much better, but another problem is there due to the high dump ins. The cpu takes a lot of delay of game penalties when they're on the PK. of the 6 games i've played, happened a total of 4 times. not alot, but enough to dampen the mood.

after the patch the cpu's scoring is significantly lower. They attack much better and have better posession but can't score as well as pre-patch. I, on the other hand, have had no change in scoring ability. maybe it's just a small sample but something I will look out for in future games.

everything else is very fluid, goalies are better and more alive and less robotic. but the issue of the CPU delay of game and their lack of scoring is a MAJOR concern....

by the way, I play on all star...always felt challenged score wise by the cpu pre-patch.

will play more and report back for all you 360ers

Good impressions. I had difficulty getting the cpu to be competitive and score on All-Star pre-patch, but superstar they score often enough and play competitive enough. I do hope post-patch that the cpu will still be reasonably effective on SS.

IMO the CPU is perfect post-patch on SS. I felt they were a little too "hyper" and scored at will at times, but post-patch i am very pleased at the games I am getting on SS.
