Four Useful NBA Live 09 Offensive Strategies

It has been a couple of weeks since Christian McCleod last went over his defensive tips for NBA Live 09. With the NBA regular season upon us, Christian is here to offer up four offensive strategies which should help elevate your game.

Quote:
"Now that I've focused on the defensive side of the ball, it's time to focus on some offensive strategies that will keep you competitive against even the best of teams, CPU and human alike. As with defense, Live 09's offensive game is tricky to master. From the Quickstrike moves, to the Ankle Breakers, to the pick and roll control, Live 09 has enough depth on the offensive end to keep you practicing for weeks. There are many ways to run an efficient offense in the game, so I thought I would put forth my top four strategies."

Platform: PS2 / PS3 / PSP / Xbox 360

Since 2K9 online is basically unplayable because I don't have 15 minutes to wait for a game to connect I was looking into buying Live. I visited the Forums and came across a discussion about 3pt shooting. One guy stated he was having problem shooting 3's. Everyone who answered in that forum had stories of shooting 55-100% from 3. One guy bragged about how he had hit 10-10 and a few others stated they had games like that. I guess there not a sports game worth playing this winter. Back to the FPS. Thanks EA and 2k for ruining my favorite winter past time.

Thanks for reminding me that this IS a good game.

I hadn't played it for a few days, then went online and got hammered by a cheeser.

Well, he might not have been a cheeser, I think I just played really bad. Been going back and forth between this and 2k and that doesn't help. I should have played a warm-up game versus the cpu first.

The tips are common sense and very valuable.

This is a perfect "pick up and play" game for when your mates come around. But online, against experienced opponents, these tips will keep you competitive and in the game.

These tips will help you to enjoy the game as it is meant to be enjoyed.

Nice work

I know a useful tactic. Drive to the basket and push x. It goes in 95% of the time!

how about low post moves as one option for the offense? It's a great option to get shooters open for a shot when double teamed.

Things happen when you attack the basket.

That's fundamental basketball philosophy.
