Re: NFL Head Coach 09 Patch Available, Impressions Here

Yeah injuries seem to have gotten a boost since the patch but I also have a terrible trainer.

Screen passes are so frustrating. The computer loves to blitz and it's a great way to defuse that but even though I have the play mastered my QB almost always gets sacked. It's not that he doesn't have time. He usually stands in one spot for 5-10 seconds looking right at the spot where the RB is waiting and then takes a sack. He almost never makes any effort to actually get rid of the ball.

I finished the SF/DET game on the schedule yesterday. I lost 24-21 making my Niners 1-2 on the season but Gore had a 24 carry 112yard performance. Shaun Hill threw an INT that the defense returned for a TD late in the 4th (Another thing that's been happening a ton after the patch) and I had my team driving late with no timeouts but ran out of time.

Did the run game really improve? My QB is getting sacked a lot during handoffs. The DL and LB basically just run by my center and take down the QB for a handoff sack or the RB for a loss of 5.

The run game for me has improved. I never even came close to sniffing 100 yards on the ground and now I've had 2 games with 100+ yards in 3 games. The CPU running is also improved.

Pre-Patch, Marion Barber had a couple games where he would pound the rock and rack up up to 150 yards for my Bears but this only happened about 3 times in 3 seasons, the other games he would get around 50 yards.

Post-Patch, i've played 1 regular season game as the 49ers. Frank Gore rushed for 50 yards on 28 carries (obviously not good) but Michael Robinson rushed for 48 yards and a TD on just 6 carries. I'm definitely gonna get him a little bit more involved in the offense and just hope that Frank Gore gets it together. Jamie Martin did a wonderful job as my field general in his first game which really impressed me. He completed about 14/20 for 120+ yards and a TD. I was down 20-10 going into the 4th and he helped lead a comeback, and thanks to 2 sacks on 4th down by Shawntae Spencer, I held off the Cardinals for the win (and injured Warner in the process).

Now that i've downloaded the patch, I've lost all my rookies? is this happening to anyone else? I went and downloaded the latest roster and tried usign that to start a new career, and their are no Rookies, just empty roster slots. I tried loading the default rosters, same problem.

help? i miss my rookies :-(

Re: NFL Head Coach 09 Patch Available, Impressions Here

I really don't think that this patch fixed the injury bug for the PS3. Players continue to lose health and no one regains it. I have held one player out of practice and kept him inactive for 3 weeks since the patch and he still has 70 fatigue and 69 health every day.
Also, there is no fatigue in game. Everyone stays at 100% Fatigue throughout the game.
I have used the play creator from the clipboard just like the tip from one of the devs said. When that didn't work I also tried in game play creator and also to go into the play creator from zhe clipboard and back out without saving. None of these have worked.
I'd really appreciate a dev answer on whats the status here. I'd just like to know if there was a mistake and the patch doesn't work for already started careers on the PS3 so I can stop wasting my time advancing a broken career.

There definitely is fatigue in the games. I've had it come up saying that Frank Gore's fatigue is now in the 40s and should be given a break and stuff all the time in my games and then it pops up again saying he's good to go later.
