Madden 09 Quick Patch #2 Update From EA

Has Phil or anyone from EA updated the status of the DLC? I'm just as or more excited for the contents of the DLC than the patch. Thanks!!

A couple of people on EA forums were saying they downloaded patch#2 and it seems to have fixed their problems. I can't check myself because my 360 is being repaired and sent back to me. Just looking for any confirmation. Ian, Phil or any one else have any info? Thanks.

There is a roster update that has Kerry Collins starting for the Titans. I don't know if this is (today) new, but it is available for download.

As far as patch #2, I don't see anything.

when i started my game today i went straight to a xbox live update screen.

and yes i have the first patch already.

im just wondering what i download was the 2nd patch or not?

MS sometimes has you download the same patch you updated recently if you haven't played the game in a while.

In all probability, the patch will be released late Monday night.

I have a question about progression. I've read this thread daily and I can't seem to find any definitive answer on this...

I'm in the division round of the playoffs in year three. If I wait until I get the patch to go into the offseason, will this give me player progression in the offseason. OR... does it make no difference weather I go into the offseason or not, the progession won't take place until I "Start New Season", and in that case I would have to wait until the following offseason to see accuarte progression?

I don't think that specific scenario has been addressed, but from the way it was explained it should take place seemlessly. The only thing they specifically said would not work off the bat is edited players. You'll need to re-edit them before they'll start progressing. The problem (as I recall) wasn't that it flat out didn't work, but that it was tuned very low. So, in theory, everything should be fine for you.
