NBA Live 09 Demo Released, Impressions Here 360 & PS3

Playing the demo on ps3 for a couple of times and not quitte impressed yet unfortunately... Will give it a couple of hours still...

But I am already leaning back to 2K...

Playing what demo on the PS3? 2k9? I don't see it at the playstation store.

I play live 09 on the PS3... from the EU store...

I am not impressed, of course it's again a leap over 08 and a feature packed game... but gameplay wise and animation wise it still doesn't grab me unfortunately... I love the playcalling an d pick & roll mechanic though...

Probably will end up with 2K9 again...

It seems to be smoother on the ps3, or it might just be my mind playing tricks on me

Quick PS3 impressions:

+ Game overall looks very nice.

+ 60fps locked in for gameplay. Some hitching during warm-ups.

+ Speed of the game versus player movement and speed burst is implemented VERY well.

+ It looks like more sig animations added. All sig shots for Celtics and Lakers look really good.

+ The practice gym is cool and hilarious. It reminds me of myself back in the day when I would go and "test" out every hoop in the entire gym and piss off dudes in the process.



Some negatives:

- Blocking looks clunky.

- There still feels like a stiffness to some of the animations.

- Why the hell is the score overlay located over the Lakers basket?? I know 2K9 this year has a top-of-the-screen scorebox, but it's in the middle. When the Lakers shoot, I can't immediately tell where the ball will go. UGH.

- Ball and rim physics are better, but not as good as 2K.
