Madden 09 Quick Patch #2 Update From EA

its still in the testing process at MS/Sony. They are hoping that they get the ok to make the patch "live" on both consoles. If MS/Sony find any issues, then its another couple of weeks.

And EA has to wait for MS/Sony to tell them when they are going to put the patch on their servers. Once EA gets the date of availability, they'll pass it along.

Im anxious to see what people think of the game post patch. Seemed to be rated pretty high before patch, cant imagine after patch

I am so freaking ready to see if this damn patch is going to work. I have a brand new, unblemished Madden 09' along with a PS3 not even 2 months old, and yet I can't make it 3 consecutive games in franchise mode without the SOB freezing up in the middle of a game. Pisses me the F off.

This better work.

Silver membership is fine for patches. As long as you are connected and online, you will be prompted for the patch install when it goes live.

I used to be in the video game/computer business back in the 90s. When I was in it the majority of people were overworked and underpaid. I would guess they are working a ton right now. I bet its even worse than when I was in it due to the higher complexity of the systems, multiple platforms, bureaucracy, etc. QA seems much worse now from my distant vantage point and also from what my friends in the business have told me. Games have stricter deadlines now, shorter development cycles, less quality testers, and some companies can be overly bureaucratic. This unfortunately for us, leads to a lot of bugs, and we the gamers have to wait. At least they can patch these things online now

I haven't checked in here for a while, and thought for sure the patch would be out by now Wonder when/if the DLC will be out? Oh well, back to NCAA 09, MLB 08, and I just got a free rental for NHL 2K9 so those should keep me busy.
