It rarely happens, and if it does, its because the kick returner brought it out from 5+ yards deep in the end zone. Most of the returns I'm seeing today, between the 25-35 yard line.

So are most of you guys playing with AA's all american sliders or someone else's Heisman sliders.

I played a game with Iowa against Iowa State with AA's sliders and it was pretty good. Computer threw for 60 percent with 2 INTs. Ran the ball over 25 times for 110 yards.

Ended up winning 31 to 21, but that was after a very late TD by me followed by a KO return by Iowa State.

Re: NCAA 09 Patch #2 Available --- Impressions Here

Nope... Just simple runs no special moves... Dives (as in straight up the gut runs), counters, that kind of thing and I'm getting lit up. There all hand offs... Maybe it has something to do with the adjustment they made to the linemen to make them blitz better...

There were no weird injuries to my player, he wasn't tired, he just couldn't hold the ball... I hadn't done anything different then what I was doing before... Not like I'm running the same plays over and over, not like I was taking it to one of their impact players... Nothing like that at all...

I've been playing constantly as well, so it's not like I just started playing a new style or something. I was half way through the 2nd season of my Dynasty and nothing like that happened to me before... But now that I think of it, I do like to pound the ball inside a lot... Hmmm, maybe the linemen are doing it...

Hell go on youtube and see what you find under NCAA '09 glitch, there are tons!

As for fumbles, I'm using a decent back with a carry of about 80 +/- I don't know if this was just a bad game or what. As for the catching, mark my words on several occasions the ball has struck a wide open receiver in the head, and I can remember on two of these occasions it was on third down. One was an impact TE and the other was an impact WR...
Further more, the thread that's on this very forum mentions freezing.

I wasn't implying that you are making stuff up or lying, just stating that I haven't seen it. You made mention that maybe it was a PS3 thing and I responded so that those who may have not downloaded the patch, don't think that its going to happen to them if they download the 2nd patch. Now they may see the same issues as you do or they may not, but I don't.

Just posting my .02

The pass rush in this patch is definitely improved(whether EA admits it was worked on or not, something is different). I've gotten through the line much more now, the D-linemen seem to have a little more speed and ability to fight through blocks. I saw games pre-patch where my WHOLE line would get pancaked and the QB would just sit back there with all day to throw. After several games post patch, I myself have gotten at least 4-5 user sacks just from a straight bull rush, and my teammates have gotten several. My blitzes seem to work more effectively as well.

Also, I had the CPU(Alabama) throw TWO deep TD's against me. One was 34 yds, and the other was 30yds. I'm talking about the ball traveled the the whole way in the air, and the receiver only had to take a step or two to get into the end zone. That absolutely NEVER happened, not once, pre-patch.

Robo QB is still there in most games, but it doesnt feel as cheap b/c my players are usually right around the play now, as opposed to being WAY out of position like before, and teh CPU spreads the ball around the field more. I also feel like I have a little more control on defense now as opposed it feeling so herky-jerky pre-patch.

This feels about 75% like a new game. It really does play a lot like NCAA in the past, which the feeling the majority of us wanted.

I'm now satisfied with my purchase. Get those bowl endzones, and artwork back in there next year and were back in business again.
Stoncold,
What sliders are you using?

Re: NCAA 09 Patch #2 Available --- Impressions Here

In my opinion (three words that seem to NEED to be at the start of every post around here lately), this game, post patch, is the best "next gen" football game we've seen yet. It's got the fun factor that APF lacked (IMO!!!!) and the depth that APF lack. I thought APF was the best release on the next gen so far, but NCAA is back to what it should be. The game is fun again (and goodbye having to fair catch every punt).
