What am I looking for in regards to player progression.

I checked it out and there were 12 guys who moved up or down as far as progression goes

Please tell me that EA is gonna make the patch available offline. I don't have a broadband connection, so unless EA makes it available to everyone, I'm SOL. I got rid of my 360 version in favor of the PS3 version since I like the DS3 better, so I'd hate to think that I got rid of the better version for a buggy one that I will never be able to fix.

here's something that may be easier to try. Max out penalties and play a half or so and see if more penalties are called.

I'm stupid. The most obvious thing to check would be field degradation. Just try a game in the rain and see if the field degradation becomes apparent.
