I just tried to download the new patch for the 360 and couldn't. I did the update before the game starts up. I loged on to xbox live and my game froze up. So I restarted and loged in no problem this time and got a message that there is no new news from EA and NCAA 09 at this present time. I have not tried to play any games yet but I don't think I got anything. I don't have a gold membership any longer but I would think with a silver you should be able to get game updates. I don't know what to do so any help at all would be nice. I even looked at my hard drive to see if it downloaded and nothing. Thanks guys.

does it show you logged into Xbox Live while your in the game? if it does, then you have the latest update. without the latest update for any title on 360, you can not be logged into Xbox Live at all.(no friends list or anything)

It lets me log in and I can move around in the home tabs. I could play games if I wanted but I don't like online. So I must have the patch then. I will play a game or 2 and see. Maybe it downloaded so fast I didn't even know it. Thanks for you help. I have never had this happen before.

Its amazing how many people are blaming Sony for mistakes that EA has made. EA is the one that shipped a broken game. I am sure NCAA isnt the only game that Sony is testing. And to tell you the truth I would not be surprised that EA made the same mistake with Patch 2 that they made with patch 1.

Most of us are past the point that this is EA's fault. We realize that, but EA has nothing to do with getting the patch itself out. It's out of EAs hands right now, and if MS got their patch out in a timely fashion, then Sony can do the same.

Unfortunately very rarely if ever is a perfect game ever shipped. Even the highest rated games have had patches released. So to make it seem like EA is the only company that has this happen is asinine. And it is Sony's fault for the patch not being out for them yet. If they tried to stagger it and suddenly Sony gets on the ball and the patch comes out early for PS3 compared to 360, then all of the 360 fans are going to be pissed. Its a lose lose situation unless both companies are synced up
