Jess and I are using an All American Slider set and I'm on the road at Alabama.

Some impressions.

1. Kickoffs are MUCH improved. No more house rules!

2. The Sliders working helps so much. Now the CPU is much more challenging on All American.

3. THERE IS A PASS RUSH!!! PRAISE THE LORD! THERE IS A PASS RUSH!!! I'm playing Alabama on the road in Tuscaloosa. My highly rated D line is actually getting in the backfield, not getting pancaked every play, and on a play just 5 minutes ago, both of my Defensive Ends blew by the Bama tackles and got to the QB.

I almost wept with joy. I'll post a vid in a bit showing the improved pass rush. It's absolutely exhilirating.

*note* I have Break block at 100 and CPU pass block at 0.

4. You can hear opposing stadium sounds and it is SWEET. I'm listening to the Million Dollar Band in Tuscaloosa with Auburn on the road.

I'm such a geek, I'll be setting each playlist before I play because it adds SO much to the game.

Good job EA. This is a DEFINITE improvement, especially on defense. Hopefully these carry over in Human vs Human games as well.

Awesome. Hurry it up sony!!!!!!!

Do we need to restart our dynasties for this patch to take full effect?

It took me forever to get through this post. I blame your av.

Ok, seriously, this is great to hear. I'm impatient to get home and play this.

Re: NCAA Football 09 Patch #2 Available, Impressions Here

Playing AF(me) against CSU on AA. I reset every slider back to 50 except for tkl - 15/15, wrc 0/0, and int 0/0.

11 minute quarters, just finishing up the first half. My initial reaction. They fixed it. Pursuit angles are better, cpu runs the ball better, defense is better, heck even cpu thrown ints looked better. I play as the mlb all the time, so the pass rush issue isn't something I key in on, not sure on that one.

Of course it's only 1 half (on 11 minute quarters), so things could fall apart, but I'm liking what I'm seeing.

CSU 17 - AF 21 (me)

CSU
off 231
rush 24-128
pass 12-20-103
plays 44

QB Farris 12-20-103, 60%, 1 TD, 0 INT, sack 2
HB Johnson 14-105, 7.5avg, 1 TD, long 48
HB Bell 6-14, 2.3avg
TE Sperry 2-29

AF
off 198
rush 25-139
pass 5-7-59
plays 32

QB Smith 5-7-59, 71%, 1 sack
HB Stephens 9-82, 9.1avg, 1 TD, long 28
HB Lumpkin 8-29, 3.6avg, 2 TD
FB Newell 6-22, 3.6avg
TE Dekker 3-35

Seriously, have you ever seen the cpu run their main back 14 times in the 1st half? I play on 11 min qtrs and I've never seen this. They rushed the ball more than they threw it like CSU should, what the heck is going on?

CPU qb numbers are fantastic. No picks, spot on %.

Re: NCAA Football 09 Patch #2 Available, Impressions Here

Only got to play until the half. Default All American, no sliders - 8 minute quarters.

Kick returns are definitely better in my opinion. The CPU players don't do that mindless run down the field as bad as they used to.

Punt returns seem better to me. Both me and the CPU were held to much much shorter yardage, but I really only experienced 2 punts.

There is no difference in robo QB. He always seems to know when to get rid of the throw, and just in time. High percentages again. Same ol same ol. This is a small sample size just playing to the half so who knows.

My receiver got separation once from a DB deep I chucked the ball with Claussen and it was on the money, but my receiver dropped an over the shoulder catch. It was actually cool that the DB didn't just bat it down and my WR actually dropped it. Never saw that before. This may just be coincidence.

The CPU threw deep on me one time. I was very surprised. I didn't think this was addressed so it may be coincidence.

Overall, I felt like the CPU DBs played better than they used to. But, once again, I only played a half. It was just the feel of the game was different.

The CPU will still catch the ball out of bounds in the flats and run out of bounds in a stupid manner on passes to the flats and out routes sometimes.

The CPU seemed to juke less on running plays.

INTs are still too high IMO on default sliders.

No change in the OL/DL interaction on default sliders IMO.

Is it definite that we DON'T have to restart dynasties for the patch to take effect?

I think I'm going to buy this now instead of Madden. Madden gameplay is pretty good but Franchise is useless, Dynasty is a lot better with the recruiting. I'll get Head Coach later on when it comes out separately.
