I bought Madden on Wednesday, went on xbox live and can't find a roster update. Am I doing something wrong?

What the...? FAIR? Why is this "Fair" to you? Why would this be considered "fair" to anyone? Is there something I am missing here? Is this SUPPOSED to be how it is? Is there some kind of negotiating going on with gamers and developers about how glitches/problems are to be addressed or fixed with a patch?

I am very happy that EA is doing this. I am but I don't understand the "fair" part of your statement. They have had 20 years to make a realistic game of football so why were these problems not fixed before release? I fully understand the new consoles but they have had a YEAR at minimum with this engine to get these things fixed before release. I am convinced they don't have beta testers. Or ANY testers. Or, they just don't listen. I found a **** LOAD of problems my first game (this is after a few FREEZES that I had BEFORE I could even GET through a complete game!) so screw this "fair" business.

And why are you thanking Phil? Or anyone for that matter. Don't be a kiss *** dude. It's embarrassing. They are making a killing off of us suckers who purchase their games so they should be thanking YOU! I mean NO OFFENSE to you man. None at all. I am sure you're a nice guy but it just irks me to no end when I see posts like yours. EA knows EXACTLY what they are doing and I would not be the LEAST bit surprised if this whole patch thing was planned WAY in advance to make it LOOK as though they are HARD AT WORK TO MAKE US HAPPY!

Yeah right. One step forwards and two steps back for Madden. Every single year.

Having said that, I have heard that the Wii version actually has PENALTIES!! (imagine that) and plays a pretty good game of football (at least better than 360/PS3) so I am going to give that version a go and see what happens. And yes, I am aware of the irony here

EA isn't all bad. So far Head Coach is pretty damn impressive and I am LOVING it! They also publish some pretty awesome titles (publish-not develop) Why can't they get Madden right? You'd think after 20 years we would have a MUCH better representation of the game of football but IMO we are still a long way off which is truly a shame.

Competition breeds quality. True story.

And with that I am off to Gamestop to give EA more of my money for I am indeed one of the millions of fools we have here on this fine planet.
